Best WLM Reviews
Had the best 6 hours of my time in this braiding shop when I went there with my baby mama.
These African ladies are amazing and they know their job to!!!
Will definitely book another with them for my baby mama. Because she loved her hair and they were neat ????
When I first arrived at the shop it was going smoothly and I was sat down immediately. But then as I’m getting my hair braided the lady told me she had to leave out and she would be back in 30 min. At first I’m like umm ok, so she leaves and she doesn’t come back for like a whole hour! So I was in the shop way longer than necessary and I also had my sister with me and she had to go to work. They did not offer any money off my service for the inconvenience which I feel like is very unprofessional so this will be my last time coming here.
I spent $80 on human hair for my boho braids. I bought it from their beauty supply. Every time I touch my hair a piece come out. The person that braided my hair was fast but what difference does that make if the style doesn't last. Y'all have a whole braiding school. You need to teach your employees how to feed in hair properly, not just rush through their head. On top of that don't position our head so it's convenient for you. That was the most uncomfortable 6 hrs of my life plus I wasted money.
No words can decide this look! I went to get the top fixed because of incorrect parting that was done by Anges only to get the worst results from a stylist that she told to fix it. Disappointed is an understatement. I wouldn’t recommend their service to my worst enemy. Photos proves my experience
Agnes and Obi run a beautiful braid shop. I have been twice one for my engagement may of 2023 blonde boho braidsand the second time for another special occasion May 2024to have my hair braided. I have very fine hair and they work so well with it. I’ve had not only GG do my hair for my first visit, but I also had Vivian who are excellent Braider and Hairstylist please go to Agnes and Obi braid shop, the braiders are so talented prices are good quality is impeccable I definitely will be back
Agnes is very fast and professional. She has talent hands and a pleasant demeanor. My braids are are always neat & pretty.
I have been serviced at A&O braiding shop several different times, by several different braiders. I have ALWAYS had a great experience. They are all nice, welcoming and do great work.
If I could give negative 5 stars, I would. I went in for waist length small braids.
I was serviced by Felicity. I asked her to make my braids full and she did not do that. My braids were and still are THIN AS WIND.
I was unaware of the reviews when I booked my appointment but Every single complaint that I have read about Felicity is true. Her parts are huge and crooked, her braids are too small, and Her breath REEKS of a dental infection. REEKS.
My horrible thin boneless Knotless braids took 9.5 hours to complete. I immediately expressed my disappointment. I couldn’t believe I sat for 9.5 hours and got 72 braids.
The braids weren’t full. They are very thin and very ugly. When I complained to Agnes, she tried to be funny and say that Felicity made up for the thin braids by making them butt length. Which is not what I asked for. She kept making jokes at my expense and made no attempt to correct the service and tried to treat me like a criminal by asking to check my phone prior to leaving the shop.
During my 9.5 hour appt there, I listened to how Agnes discussed customer concerns in front of the entire shop and was disgusted. This is a woman who does not support/care for other black women. However, I am not surprised as this attitude is common from people in interracial relationships.
Very unprofessional and ugly spirited woman who literally knows that her stylist, Felicity does HORRIBLE work but continues to give her clients so that she can take their money.
She has Bible quotes on the wall as if she isn’t literally stealing from women everyday. It’s almost laughable but it isn’t.
Black women, please spend your money ANYWHERE ELSE AND REPORT THESE UNLICENSED BRAIDERS TO THE STATE OF ILLINOIS REGULATION BOARD.
