First called to try to book and lady just said “yep, just come in” knowing it was going to get busy around the time I would get there. Got the fastest pedicure ever and was done poorly (looking like it was dabbed on) and rushed. Looks like I had them for a week already. My toe nails were cut really short on where it hurt when she was cutting them. Very disappointing I drove over an hour to go there and $60 for this pedi.
Great service! I found this nail salon because I met someone in town who was checking out my order and her nails were impeccable. I asked her where she had them done and she said A nails is the very best. After my experience I can see why! They were quick, friendly, and the quality of the work was wonderful.
finally gave in and got my nails done- never have i ever gotten so many compliments since i’ve gone here 10/10 recommend!!! great and clean service❤️
I’m only leaving this place one star because I have to but if I didn’t it would get absolutely none. Me and my best friend came for pedicures. She got color I did not as I am a male. The ladies were rude her pedicure lasted maybe 10 minutes no massage or anything. The lady made her toe bleed and then did my pedicure with the same tools she just used on my friends after she rinsed them off… then she put another lady in the chair after me and my friend and used the same tools and barely even washed them or the basin. Absolutely disgusting…. Not worth the money and will never be returning. You could cause someone to get a serious infection.
the ladies were nice but their prices is insane for the work they do. my sister and i went in for acrylics and they told us they only did round and square shape which is a little unusual. we both asked for plain white with a sparkle accent nail medium length, mine came out so freaking short and they would have looked better if i just did them on my own. the worst part is i paid $75 for them which is literally more than i have ever paid and they’re the worst set of nails i’ve ever gotten. would not recommend going for acrylics
Have been to this salon many times over the years. My nails always look amazing. I'm disabled, but not W/C bound. I do OK. I believe the lady who does my nails is named Tina. Not sure. I have no complaints. No, the employees are not "warm and fuzzy", but I don't need that, really. If I did, I would go again to the spa outside of Hemingford, where, after three days I told my husband, "Even just one more treatment will kill me." Never a problem, I choose seasonal colors and have never been disappointed.
My sister and I were at this salon yesterday and we wanted to get an easy design done. they said it would be too expensive as if we could not pay. So my sister and I had to chose a different nail design which we did not want to do. As she was cutting the acrylic nails she was using dirty unsanitized scissors. I asked for a small square shape and she did a duck nail shape instead, I asked her to make it more square and she did but after she was very rude and aggressive with my hands. Over all this experience was very bad.
I do not often publicly complain but I feel I need to share this.
6 or so months ago my daughter, Amanda (who is wheelchair bound) and I went to A Nails in Plattsburgh for a mother daughter day out. When we entered the shop there were a number of obstacles (see pics) in Amanda’s way (this is something she deals with in many establishments). We did what we normally would do in this situation and quietly and gently moved items and furniture, so Amanda could get in the salon. Once we were in, things got worse. The owners were extremely rude and stated since Amanda couldn’t sit up to their workstation (Not up to ADA code) properly, with her wheelchair they wouldn’t be able to provide her with their services. As politely as I could muster, I explained she could, she just needed a minute to get situated. They continued to be very rude and denying services all the while Amanda and I were getting “properly” situated. Long story short they relented and did her nails. Two days ago, Amanda returned to A Nails, this time without me and they said they couldn’t put fake nails on her they could only paint her own real nails and refused her service. She asked what the difference was, and they said something about putting both hands on the workstation (Still not ADA compliant). I have had my nails painted and fake nails applied, and the position of your hands are the same. Keep in mind the salon was full and people were watching. Amanda was humiliated and left the shop.
I just visited A Nails today, asking if they provided services to the handicapped. The owner immediately knew I was talking about Amanda, and long story short they refused services to Amanda, once again. I pointed out to the woman that their salon does not meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance and I would be reporting them. This did not seem to concern the woman nor did she waiver with her decision.
If a zero star was an option for rating that's exactly what A Nails would receive from me!!!
