Adriana is absolutely a master artist when it comes to curly cuts and color. She loves what she does and it shows with every client. I've learned so much in how to take care of my hair, keeping it healthy and styled. She's very personable and answers any questions I have, making the entire experience such a joy. The pictures speak for themselves! She is very coveted so trying to get an appointment quickly is nearly impossible, but she is well worth the wait if you value your curls!
I came here two years ago as part of a spa day I had planned for myself instead of having a baby shower. I was nine months pregnant. The cut was good, but it wasn’t what I asked for. I had only had 1 curly haircut before this one and they couldn’t be more opposite. I didn’t want to leave a review, but the fact that I still think about it to this day and can’t convince myself to go back two years later cemented it. I used to do the traditional LOC method. This means my hair fell on the oilier side after products (even after light application). I thought I was doing the right thing for my hair. I was pregnant back to back so my hair definitely needed a cut and some attention. I got decent hair care advice but boy did she take the opportunity to embarrass me. When I sat in her chair I felt like I was a pain, like I was being looked down upon and dirty. I also felt like a “ I don’t get paid enough for this” aura. Even though I remember paying in the ball park of $260+ (yes, I tipped well too) I have two friends that go to her and they like it, but I just can’t agree. I’m not sure why the energy/ conversation was so bad, I had never even met her before. Loads of people do the LOC method and even with freshly washed hair the ends WILL tangle because they need a trim which is why I was there in the first place. Also, not that I expect it, but usually when you’re that far along people make pleasant conversation about the obvious bowling ball you’re carrying to break the ice or make jokes or curiosity. What are you having or when are you due and move on. There was no mention of that which is fine, but there was this eerie feeling like the entire topic was taboo. At one point I couldnt be in a certain position for too long and I expressed that I had to move because it was uncomfortable and I just felt the glaring eyes. By the end of that experience I honestly just wanted to stop existing in that place and maybe now that this is out in the universe I can let this go.
Every time I go, I love my experience. Adriana is wonderful. She is so professional, kind, personable, and she knows her stuff! She validates you and helps you learn about your curly hair care. I love going to her and will stay with her forever!

Adriana is THE BEST curly stylist in Tampa Bay. I've tried a few and none like Adriana. Her services include not only cutting, color, and styling, but she also takes the time to educate you about hair care that makes sense for your hair type. You're really paying for her knowledge and attention to detail. She knows her products inside and out and will recommend only what she thinks would work best for you, she's never steered me wrong! She'll continue to be my "hair girl" as long as she'll have me!
Amazing service, well worth the price. I am extremely satisfied with my hair cut & the educational aspect was phenomenal. Thank you Adriana! I received a very dramatic cut & I’m very pleased. Salon was very clean, I was a little early so we started early, & she was very patient with me (I had my newborn with me). I’ve had a cut by a curl specialist before & it did not even compare to the cut I received here. She is very informed about the curly method & I learned a ton. First hair cut in my life that didn’t cause me to cry. Glad I did my research this time & trusted these reviews! Well worth it!
I came to see Adriana because she's a curl expert and I'm soooo so glad I did! I didn't know my curls/waves could look so soft and healthy. I had been putting off coming to see a curl expert for a while but it's so worth it! She knows so much about curly hair and about ingredients in products for curly hair. If you do come see her for the first time, take notes because there's so much to learn. You'll feel like you just went a level up on curly hair knowledge.
