This restaurant is fairly new to the neighborhood. We were lazy and hungry last night so we decided to give a local restaurant a shot.
I have missed Jamaican food so I was kind of hopeful yet a little doubtful because they were not in Yelp yet and Google had very few pictures.
We ordered Uber Eats.
Jerk Chicken Pasta- It came in a small container instead of an entree container. It was packed with pasta and bits of Jerk Chicken. My daughter really liked it. Just looking at it it seemed dey but when I tasted it the flavor was good. For me I would need extra sauce because the pasta just soaked it up.
Jerk Chicken- This looked to be a quarter piece of piece chopped up. The flavor was good. It was spicy hot as I expected but not where I couldn't eat it. It was also not burnt.
Brown Stew Chicken- I was really looking forward to it however I received Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas, Cabbage, a small chunk of plantain and in the smaller section of the plate was Brown Stew Chicken. Huh? I was confused. My entree was Brown Stew Chicken and not Jerk Chicken. The chicken had a good flavor but it was some leftover pieces that was at the bottom of the pot. No whole pieces and it had so many bone shards it was difficult to eat and enjoy.
The plantain could have been fried harder. Rice and Peas were not cooked all the way through. The rice was crispy and just undercooked. Cabbage tasted good but the restaurant barely put any in the plate.
To the owners if you were out of the item ordered why not call the customer? Don't assume I want Jerk Chicken. That was completely rude honestly. You could have placed a call to the customer.
Beef Patties - These are banging!!! I don't recall asking for spicy but that's what we received. Despite that, they were delicious. The pastry was flaky and so darn good. Everything about the patty was good.
I hope this review helps the owners as well as the customer. I give anyone a shot.
If yall ran out of seasonings yall could of said that. Jerk chicken was edible jerk sauce too sweet and watery. Rice and cabbage are disgusting not a pinch of salt. Highly disappointed and upset. Please don’t waste your time. or money patties weren't even good. My dog wont even eat it????????♀️
First time ordering from here and it was through UberEats right before closing. Everything tasted pretty fresh. Jerk chicken was bomb! Cabbage, rice n beans a little bland for my taste but good quality nonetheless. Ask for extra sauce to go over your rice. It makes a world of difference! I would order from them again.
Order the curry chicken plate my 1st time going and it was good couldn't finish it but I will be back the cabbages were juicy ad tasty
Went in for 3 ox tail plates on Sunday. The beef Pattie’s were good. The oxtails were shredded and the cabbage had no seasoning. The food overall was not good the gravy was grease. I waited an 30 minutes at the restaurant for food I ordered over the phone. I hope they can get it together the owner was nice I just wasn’t pleased with the food
I deliver for Uber Eats and just wanted to provide a review from that perspective. It was a great experience! They were very nice, prompt, and overall very sweet people! I got a chicken curry pattie while I was picking up an order and it was delicious! They were the nicest business I have dealt with doing deliveries thus far! So just for that I highly recommend them!
This was by far the WORST representation of Jamaica I’ve ever experienced. From being greeted by a fella with a cigarette in his hand to being told to wait 5 mins because someone had to go get some oil. Then I place my order (large curry chicken) all to be given ONE BONE of chicken thigh and a spoon of gravy and thyme stems. I asked for some gravy for the rice and was given yet another scoop of thyme stems. While waiting on cutlery the fella tells another customer who ordered oxtails and apparently they were out; he tells the lady I just gave you what we had and made it the same about you would get in oxtails ????????♀️????????♀️????????♀️????????♀️. In all my days this BLEW ME
Food was ????????????. I had the jerk chicken with cabbage and mac and cheese(end of the shift so ran out of rice). All of it was well seasoned and flavorful. The jerk was amazing with a touch of sweetness like bbq.
It's my go to now while living in camp creek. No more driving to downtown ????????.
