Counter service, local hangout, for Cheese steaks, burgers, fries, sandwiches and beer. No "wait staff" but a small place where workers fill requests. 4 for food, +1 for how often we source a family meal here
If pressed for time, call in your order first. Several TVs and a room, I am guessing, to watch weekend games on. Always running some sport on the bar TV. Local hang-out. Eat here so much I moved from 4 to 5 stars for Simple Good Food served by Kewl Humans.
This is a counter order type of place. I was reading other 1 star reviews and can just say I have not had those experiences. We all agree Claudia rocks; say hi to Hector now too. "The Manager" has never been rude to me either. He's just a more serious vibe human, but a nice guy. No one is attempting to be gourmet here. Just sling some good sandwich grub, with beers and TVs for hanging out. Hope that's useful.
10/10 Best sandwich place in town. 12$ meatball sandwiches with nice big juicy balls of flavor full meat. About 4 big ones on each half sub. Good platter of cheese fries for 6$. Def gonna go for the chicken parm next time.

The food was okay. I got the Philly Cheesesteak with wiz. They put the wiz on the bun and not on top of the meat so I had to ask for them for extra cheese. Instead of bringing me a side of cheese they took my sandwich back to the kitchen to add the cheese. I just found that a little odd. I got the wiz on the side for my daughter and when she asked for extra Wiz they took the little cup from her and refilled it I guess they're trying to not have extra dishes. My daughter found a hair in her food and then we brought it to the manager's attention they tried to explain it away instead of just comping the sandwich.
Now the bad part. The customer service is just not there. The girl that took the order was aloof and when asked what kind of oil they use for their French fries answered with it's the same oil used to fry everything. They never once came to check on us unless they saw me getting up to come see them. We did not feel welcomed. All in all this place was not worth the $38 we paid the eat there. I will not be back!
Their daily specials are a great value! However, you can never go wrong with the pastrami or cheesesteak. But if you really want the best, and freshest, go with the beer battered fish and chips. The batter is only made upon order. Literally, they willngonto the tap and pour the beer into a bowl and start mixing right after ordering. Light, fluffy, and crispy. Flavorful tartar sauce or malt vinegar on request.
My husband and I have been eating at Bite of Jersey for years. The food is very good; however, the manager is not very friendly 1 star for him. 4 stars for food and help. In my opinion if you have a long time customer maybe you might want to be nicer. I have struggled with this for a while. He can barely mutter hello when we come in. Last straw yesterday when I brought my dog sitter and my dog in the stroller. Ordered food to take to my husband in memory care. I got the OK to bring the dog in as we were ordering to go. Then the owner comes out and very inappropriately rude tells me to take the dog outside. I don't have a problem with taking the dog outside. I do have a problem the way he angrily addressed it. Then I heard him yelling at the girl who works there. I have seen this for years there and you never should discipline employees in front of your customers. The girl that works there is great Claudia. Thanks for treating us so badly. How hard is it to say hello to your returning customers
