Please do not book with this Salon! This was a nightmare having to deal with this salon and the stylist who messed up my hair.
Red Flag #1 My appointment was booked at 10am 2 weeks prior to my appointment which asked for a $50 deposit I did receive a receipt that states I will owe $200 at the time of service. The same day of my appt at 7:30am the stylist messaged me asking to change the time to 11am. I agreed, then I was contacted again by the stylist at 8:08am and asked me to go in at 11:30am. I arrived at the salon at 11:30am and the stylist did not show up to my hair appointment until 12pm! Red Flag #2 This stylist, Deseray Martinez had me in her chair from 12:00pm- 7:30pm. After the foils were put in my hair and it was time to rinse she took me over to the rinsing station and soon had to move me because the sink was getting clogged, instead of moving me over to another sink/ rinsing station she took me back to her chair and started blow drying my hair since another stylist needed to rinse a clients hair, and remember she was blow drying my hair without putting the toner in my hair. I remember her asking if I ever had it done that way and I replied no. Finally after sitting there for 7 1/2 hours I was ready to pay and she gave me a total of $400 that I still owed her. I was in shock but I continued to pay via Venmo because I was in a hurry and I had to pick up my son from basketball practice.I messaged soon after my appointment and let her know after really looking at my hair and styling it myself I could see some discoloration and I was not happy. I was kind and understanding but the stylist refused to be professional. I would message her and she would take forever to reply back to set up a time to fix this. I expected her to be on top of this since I have a job in a profession where I do have to see people and can't be looking like this. After 3 days of getting nowhere I drove 45 minutes to this salon to hope she would be there so I can get her to look at my hair. I showed up to the salon and I spoke with her and she didn't like what I was telling her in front of other coworkers and a client and she tried to blame me and say '' Well what products are you putting in your hair''? The stylist also accused me of coming on a little too strong?, which was totally far from the truth. I am sure there is cameras in there and can see that I tried to talk to her and she just dismissed what I had to say and told me to come back the next day at 10am. I decided not to go because she is very inexperienced and not professional! I left and immediately called the owner of the salon and she told me there is nothing she can do as a owner because the stylist is a sole contractor and does not have a boss. I explained to the owner my concerns and pleaded for a refund or even partial, the owner advised that she would talk to her and call me back. When I spoke with the owner and I explained about the stylist being late and changing my appointment multiple times, the owner says '' WE HAVE ALREADY TALKED TO HER ABOUT THIS''? I never received a call back regarding that refund request but the owner did offer to fix my hair. After waiting for a reply I just sent a message to forget everything and I would figure it out. At this point I declined the owner to fix my hair because I don't want to miss anymore work and also do not need my hair to be more messed up then what it already is. I tried to reach out to Deseray that night after speaking to the salon owner and I was blocked on Messenger! I also got a consult that from an experienced hair stylist and was advised she would have to charge me 160 to fix the issue. I tried to be understanding with Deseray & nice but at this point this is not okay!! I am very unhappy and extremely disappointed about this. A good stylist would make time to fix the issue, even if that means staying late or coming on time off. To block you and act like you’re the problem is so unprofessional. She was dishonest about her skill level and obviously did not know how to tackle this job. This $450+$70 tip looks like!
I can’t say enough about my incredible experience at A&A Beauty Bar!! This was my first time and I felt welcomed and like family from the moment I walked in.
A huge thank you to DESERAY MARTINEZ for the stunning job she did on my hair. I described what I wanted, showed an inspiration photo and she delivered above and beyond that. The entire process was professionally conducted and accompanied by great conversations, making it a truly enjoyable session. She did the job right and I can say I found someone I trusted.
The end result exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Deseray to anyone looking for a talented and innovative stylist! Thank you so much for doing the best job and making my hair dreams come true!!!
Ale has helped me go blonde a couple times, I love her work, Ana also gave me a quick trim the ambient of the salon is always something I look forward too everyone there is kind and trully take their time to make sure you get the desired look you want. 10/10 recommend???????? been going for over 2 years. Recently went back from dark hair to a lighter color and my hair wasn’t damaged at all!
I loved the way my hair came out! They took their time and were very helpful when it came to removing box dye. I definitely recommend coming here!
