I've been getting doubles and aloo pies from here for some time now. Yesterday I went and ordered some food there was a new lady (at least I haven't seen her before), Horrible, she didn't fill my doubles and my aloo pies like the regular ladies do. It's basically just the dough
Was very disappointed on 6/1/24, was there before they supposedly open 630am. There were other customers waiting in there cars. 630 came and a gentleman inside told us thier workers were not there yet. I was disappointed cause I usually go to queens roti shops and they don't do this. I live in Brooklyn and saw this place on social media and wanted to give them a try cause they are closer to where I live, I found it to be a huge disappointment that I didn't even get to try thier food,so I don't even know if thier food is good or not..... I feel that's no way to do business, if you open at 630am you should be ready for your customers especially if they got there early just to give you business. No excuse for that. That morning at least 12 cars left cause they didn't open when they were supposed to. You need to get more responsible workers who can get to work on time. ????☹️????????????????????????????????????????????????
If you love eating doubles and roti, A&A is the place to go. If you like eating fish, you have to try their fish doubles ???? that along was worth talking a trip from Manhattan to Brooklyn. 10 ⭐ on the doubles.
Got the fish doubles with tamarind sauce and saheena to takeaway. The fish doubles were amazing and definitely deserve to be within the top 5 NYC cheap and delicious eats. If I had one extra meal I'd come back for this in a heartbeat.
Food went downhill. Ordered salt fish, it came with more onion than fish, I wish I would’ve checked before I left the store. I also ordered peas and rice, and curry shrimp. The curry taste like curry and an extra amount of salt. That’s it. A little disappointed with the shop.
Also, be careful when asking for pepper and tamarind. My doubles ended up too sweet with no spice.
I ordered the curry chicken dinner and the curry goat roti. The goat tasted old and the curry chicken was just a little spicy, and had no seasoning. The lady behind the counter was rude and I had to repeat my order numerous times and they still didn’t get it right.
I use to frequent this place before they moved from Nostrand & Fulton. Got their bake & saltfish often. So good. But this new location. Idk. I had a veggie roti…the channa had no flavor/seasoning. I miss when the potatoes were big and chunky. Dhalpuri was dry, food was cold. I tried the roti twice, the chicken roti was tasteless as well. :( The doubles were cool.
It was my first time here I went to get chicken roti and curry goat with rice and peas, both had very little flavor, my chicken roti was horrible the chicken was cooked outside but when I took a bite it had no flavor and the meat was red it was nasty I lost my whole appetite, I start ripping open each chicken and it was all red, the peanut punch didn’t even have a taste of peanut. I never get here again it was not it. All went the garbage I spent 31 dollars.
