Sent my radiator in to be fixed. After being told it can’t be fixed I purchased a new one through them. The new one was faulty (thread gone in oil cooling lines) and had to bring it back. Picked it up after they “fixed” it and but all they did was stick a coarse thread into it. The machine thread still won’t fit! After 4 trips back and forth and $1k later I have two radiators that aren’t fit for my truck.
Edit: I was able to have the faulty radiator replaced with a new one. The owner was very communicative.
i sold this company parts and based on good faith sent them the parts before they paid because they needed them. than when it came time to pay us they wouldnt answer our calls and when they finally did they fought us on paying, getting rude and nasty saying they dont deserve to pay shipping. everytime i spoke with them they were very rude. these are ungrateful people who dont want to do the right thing, i would take my business elsewhere. very unprofessional company with no morals
A1 to the rescue.
Noticed that my '72 BMW developed a pretty good fuel leak. On inspection I discovered that an old patch had given out. A new tank was going to cost me over $600 and would probably arrive just as the FDNY was putting out the fire. I did a quick search thinking radiator repair - fuel tank repair. Called A1. Mark told me to come right down the next morning at 0830. He took a look at the tank (still in the car) and said he could have it fixed by the end of the day. They emptied and pulled the tank, cleaned it, welded the seams, patched the leak, pressure tested it, undercoated it, and had it back in the car by 2:30pm that afternoon! Amazing. Everyone there is great, friendly, and most of all, they know what the hell they are doing (and they treated my '72 with kid gloves). I'll be keeping Mark's card in my glove compartment for when my radiator goes.
Thanks Mark and all the guys at A1. Memorial Day 2014 saved!
After experiencing odd leaking for a few weeks from my car's radiator, I brought my car here. It had been worked on by a couple of different mechanics the previous two months, and I was not sure why the radiator was leaking, or how it came to leak since it had no problems before other work was performed. The last mechanic I used (a dealership) recommend a new radiator (about $6-700 installed), but I had a feeling that something ELSE was afoot. So - I brought it to Mark, and he figured out that the top hose was old and no longer pliable at the end, and since it had been taken off and put back on, that the rubber seal was no longer watertight. I cut the hose back about an inch, installed a new $1.50 clamp, and: PROBLEM SOLVED! A buck fifty - not seven hundred dollars. Thanks Mark!
