Went here with some friends for brunch and was a bit disappointed. For starters upon arrival the restaurant looks closed for the outside , luckily one of the staff members were outside and invited me in. Upon entering, the restaurant is very spacious and clean.( I can easily see this as the perfect venue to throw an event) . I ended up getting there way ahead of my two friends and the bartender took pity on me and offered me a mimosa on the house, which tasted amazing. Once my friends arrived, we ordered a plethora of food ranging from chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, fish and grits along with a picture of mimosas. my friend seem to enjoy their food. However, I thought the food was a bit underwhelming (I had the chicken and waffles). please know this is personal preference and also know that I’ve brunched quite a bit, and this was very underwhelming to me simply on taste. My friends seem to have enjoyed their food and didn’t make any complaints. The service was great and not too long after my friends arrived, so did the DJ. Pros: Very nice vibey atmosphere, especially once the music is going. The staff are very nice and accommodating as they needed to be a few changes made to one of my friends order because she is vegetarian. Although I did not like my food, the portion sizes were really good, especially for the price and they have vegetarian options. CONS: when they have brunch, that is the only thing available to order which sucks because the brunch menu is very limited in comparison to their dinner menu. I do think I’ll return as I do think they’re done the menu is much more appealing to me. It seems like the night scene is where it’s at up in there lololol. So for now until next time as I’ll definitely be back..
Nice vibe for food, cocktails and rnb music. The Mac n cheese was a bit dry but that could be my southern preference for creamy. The waitress was friendly but didn't check as regularly as needed to keep flowing & she indicated a $5 upcharge to get greens instead of the included side salad even though both are the same $6 price a la carte. The salmon burger was a whole filet as opposed to ground patty but was tasty. The henny punch was potent and good.
My favorite: Fried Chicken Wings w/Waffle. Never disappointed with the brunch or regular menu. Music and vibe is ???? If your ever in the neighborhood of Franklin Ave you MUST visit 95South!
I love the vibes, people and the music. And the bartenders they alright. They can put on a nice ???? smile. Other than that. I love the atmosphere. We’re from the old school.

We came all away from Queens new york, The seating arrangements is good- The menu For sunday was terrible.. We came for Real soul Food, Not grits.. Or waffles... Then you had individual standing in front of the place, It did not look too cool-- Then you had cats wandering -off the street that looked like they were Getting ready to rob somebody or beg for money Inside the restaurant --This establishment is Black owned... My wife and I came looking for something other than what we received..
Old school Wednesdays and karaoke Thursdays are the best!
I love 95 South my first time in years the Door guy was so nice my Waitress was so friendly and nice the food was delicious they Collard greens was so Delicious I love the DJ the music was pumping he shout out my name for my Birthday the drink was so so good Thank you 95 South????????????????????????????????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Haven't been here for a minute. They have renovated it. The salmon Alfredo was amazing. Definitely, still have to get there early to sit at the bar bc the tables always have rsvd signs on them. I went on a Wednesday, so it wasn't that crowded, and I had a ball
