This place is a GEM! It is real, authentic Cuban food, and it was delicious! We tried the fried plantains, tamale, croquets, ropas vieja (slow-cooked beef), and mixed platter (chicken and steak). It was all great, but the plantains and chicken were our favorites! The atmosphere and service are also great! Felt like we were in the middle of Miami. Definitely try it out. I can’t wait to come back and try a mojito!
The good was good BUT BUT BUT….
.
The service was awful, asking anything to the server seem to be confusing, in English out Spanish.
I tried ordering an alcoholic drink but the bartender was not there and nobody knew how to mix.
Ordered flan.. they were out.
Ordered a cortadito….. apparently nobody in the restaurant knew how to work the machine. You are a Cuban restaurant, how do you not have Cuban coffee???????
.
It’s a tough time after pandemic so I don’t want to say I don’t recommend this place but dine at your own risk.
What was once and insurance agency is now a delicious authentic Cuban restaurant. I loved the lively music, bartender and of course the food! The Congri was so good, tamale was fabulous and the fried yucca with garlic Mayo was packed with flavor.
3 stars because the food was good. The service however was not very good and they didn't have Cuban coffee available because the bartender wasn't there and no one else apparently knew how to make it, which doesn't make sense to me in a Cuban restaurant. Also expect to hear music semi loud as it's also a bar on the other side.
I had no idea there was a Cuban restaurant in Bowling Green. The food was delicious - so good that i didn’t even think about photos until after we had decimated our plates. The ham croquette appetizer was delicious. Since the croquettes were so hearty, I had plantains and black beans for my main course. Both were amazing! My husband had the mixed grill, which he said was delicious. The congri is exceptional. The mojito was one of the best I’ve ever had, and was made fresh/not from a pre-mix.
We went early on a weekday, they were slow but we were dining early for dinner. Manuel was very kind and answered the few questions that we had. Pito was our server and he was equally kind and made our experience fun. They were out of pork as Manuel said they were waiting on an order. I’m cool with a place that has high standards for suppliers and won’t compromise quality. Our food was delicious, I was going to get pork but went with whatever they suggested. Ordered a Mojito - simple drink, but oh my goodness this one was GREAT. They use Yerba Buena, like mint but not. So good and aromatic. I can tell they don’t sacrifice quality authentic ingredients they serve if they are picky about their mint / herb choices. We look forward to going back. Some of the other reviews here are a bit harsh, you should see for yourself what this place has to offer. I’m as white as sliced bread and I feel they were kind and welcoming to me and my spouse. I’m glad they are part of the community
I’ll let the empty plate do all the talking, anytime i’m out of town i love to search for local hidden gems, and this is one of them. This is as authentic cuban as it gets. Service was like Familia, Palomilla, arroz blanco, frijoles negros, yuca frita and not one, but two mojitos, they were amazing. Bowling Green is about 1:20 from home. Will be bringing my family soon.
My co-worker and I loved our visit to 90 Millas. The owner was so kind, the staff were excellent, and we loved the food and drinks. I think this is a great place to get authentic Cuban food in Bowling Green. On the weekends, there is tons of dancing and fun.
