Elevators are broken and you have to walk on the steep car ramp without a sidewalk or markings or handrail. No lights in the stairwell. Best thing you can do is continue to report the garage for building code violations and fire code violations by calling 311
I parked in this garage through an app called SpotHero. I picked this place because it was one of the cheaper parking places near Chinatown, which is where we needed to go to meet up with friends, but I did not want to pay the exorbitant parking prices there. At first, I was apprehensive because the garage is very old and clearly needs lots of repairs. The elevator was not working and I can see from the other reviews, this is an issue for many people; however, as a fairly healthy 57 year old woman, I had no issues with walking down. What I liked best about using SpotHero was that I had to enter my license plate ahead of time and the garage must have some sort of camera recognition device because my car was allowed right in. When it was time to leave, my car was allowed to leave quickly--no messing around with scanning my QR code. I quite liked that bit! Additionally, the garage is out of the way, so we had no thugs walking around, trying to break into cars--after all, the garage is old and rundown, so what would be worth parking there? LOL
A very convenient garage parking for nearby area. When we went there was not much traffic or garage is half empty. When we entered we went in the area were it is full of reserved for enterprise rental parking and we had to turnaround to go upper level for paid parking. It was little confusing but it is not a big deal though. You may be able to turnaround but if the parking at lower or basement level is full it might be tough. There were two lifts and one lift was working and other one did not. There was an attendant we saw helping few cars for the ticket/pay. He was there at least till we take our car out around 10:30 pm on Friday. Two star is due to no sign ar entrance to go upper level for general parking and other one is for lift availability.
The elevator has not worked for months (probably longer), so it's not a great spot for handicap access. The hospital will validate, but it's a discounted rate rather than fully paid. If it wasn't right next to the hospital, I would never park there.
Just a quick story, I parked here and paid at the kiosk when I returned (probably ~55 minutes into my time). By the time I had walked up all 5 levels on the ramp - remember, no elevator or stairs - gotten into my car, and waited for my turn to get out with my *paid* ticket, I guess we had rolled over that 1 hour mark because the machine asked me to pay AGAIN! What's the point of the kiosk at the front if a paid ticket isn't honored? And when I asked for help, the only thing the attendant did was take my card and force me to pay it.
Park here if you absolutely need to, but otherwise, you can almost definitely find a better spot. Scammers.
I wish there is an option for zero star. Elevator are not working for over a month. You park on 4th floor and have to walk up on the ramp, where traffic is. They are waiting for an accident to happen. Stairs are accessible from 2nd floor, unclean and bad smelling. Charges are compareable with some clean functioning parking spaces around.
They don’t accept spothero or any other system. But they still advertise on those platforms. Avoid!!
The elevator is constantly broken in this garage, and there’s no way of knowing until you park and try to use it bc there’s not always signs. Jefferson OB validates this garage-but it’s pointless to even bother trying if you’re pregnant and the elevator is broken.
This parking garage should be condemned. The elevators don't work, the structural integrity of the building looks questionable at best and still charges prime rates. Close this thing down before it collapses
