Is the trolley stop for orange line and blue line trolley the Orange line comes all the way down from El cajon and stops by the courthouse the Blue line comes all the way from San ysidro and goes all the way down to la Jolla Town center. At the fifth avenue stop there is no bathrooms there is no anything except other than drugstore and there's no bathrooms or anything in that one but they do have food and drink in there that you pay for otherwise it's just another regular trolley stop
The 5th Ave. Trolley station frequented frequently by hobos, asking for money or a cigarette etc, and it used to be manned regularly by the transit authority security personal, lately I haven't seen any of the security personal around, and that allows the street hobos to become more demanding and aggressive, that makes me uncomfortable and worried, especially if I am carrying bunch of shopping bags from the horton plaza mall or the adjacent downtown stores. There is no parking lot for this station, and parking spots in the streets around it is very hard to find, and the commercial parking lots are extremely expensive, starts at $10 for the first 20 minutes, and can go up easily to $50 for 6 hours or less.
There is no public bathrooms available, but it's street level and handicapped accessible.
It used to be kept fairly clean, but since the pandemic starts last year it's been neglected and became pretty dirty.
At rush hours this station is packed by passengers standing shoulder to shoulder.
Trolley enforcement are rude , aggressive , unprofessional. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars . Good for , getting me around, the trolley is clean for the most part. Just watch your fellow riders .
Clean safe unobstructed views of downtown as you look down the trolley tracks or street
This is a WONDERFUL station that served it's purpose as a place for the train to stop and let me off. I would highly recommend it as a 'destination' stop for those that wish to travel here
No bathroom drinking fountain and few seats. Trolley barely fits in the station, pedestrians have to walk in traffic.
A little uncomfortable with all this shady and sketchy people around there.
