The Gentleman who owns the shop is a Vet & so very sweet. Very knowledgeable & approachable. Unfortunately I have had to go to other shops bc he hasn’t been open lately. So I’m not sure if he has retired or dealing with some medical issues. But if you get the pleasure to do business with him it would be hassle free.

I live in oregon and was in Lakewood visiting family when my check engine light came on. Knowing I had a 6 hour drive home in two days, and it was a holiday weekend, I had to put my trust in someone. Will fit me into his busy schedule, ran my diagnostics, took the time to explain everything to me, including recommendations for future maintenance. When I need work done on my vehicle, I will be bringing it back here to Will.
The guy I worked with was Will I bleave he is the owner. My daughter took her car in for check engine lights it was running very bad. He did a diagnostic on it charging $100 and replaced a couple of sensors $150 5 miles down the road we had the same problem. Took it back the next day he said we need a new ignition cap. We paid $160 for this 5 miles down the road same problem. Now he will not answer the phone or call us back. He is blocking our numbers. I live 3 hours away and my daughter is a single mom.
Driving south on I5 when suddenly our RV started squealing with brake and wheel bearing problems. We pulled into 5 Star General Auto Repair and the owner, Will, was able to diagnose and source the parts for our rare vehicle getting us back on the road in no time. I'm proud to recommend him as a rare small business who really cares about his customers and his craft. Thank you Will!
This shop is great for it's size. Will is a fair and honest mechanic. When I go to 5 Star I feel like I'm not being ripped off. Will seems happy with his job and it shows. They are patient and will answer questions. I could go on all day. Either way this is a great shop.
They fixed our car in a super time and price friendly manner! Really happy with the results and would recommend this local shop over the chains. They also offered before and after pictures of our car starter for extra measure!
Will is very knowledgeable and after he performs an inspection will informs you of any issues you may have and speaks intelligently about your car problems in order for you to make a sound decision. He gives it to you straight and most importantly he is an honest mechanic that genuinely cares for the quality of work he provides opposed to trying to rip you off. 100% Recommend Will for any car issues you may be having
