Useful and nice train & bus station but absolutely don’t leave a vehicle in the parking lot. Already had one attempt to steal a vehicle and another successful catalytic converter theft with my last two times parking here.
The RTD parking lot at this station is incredibly unsafe - we paid to park there for a few days and our car, along with multiple other cars, were victims of attempted motor vehicle theft. The exterior lock was busted and the ignition was drilled through, making the car undrivable. To make matters worse, when we arrived and discovered the damage, there were multiple suspicious men circling us in the parking lot while we waited for a tow. RTD has no cameras in these lots, and were unhelpful, unbothered, and unsurprised when I contacted them to try and identify the person(s) behind this. When filing our police report, Denver Police confirmed that break-ins and attempted motor vehicle thefts are a usual occurrence at this parking lot.
Very clean, plenty of shade, right next to A line train.....feels safe. All bus drivers were so friendly and most everyone still wore masks. We thought we were going to miss our transfer bus and not make our reservations for the zoo due to major detours and construction. The driver of the 44 told us that the bus we needed ran every 20mins. We arrived and our bus was already there. We made our reservations...had an amazing day and enjoyed Denver scenery on our trip.
I have videos of certain buses leaving this station. That be deliberately passing over stops where homeless be people with valid transfers. I have videos of drivers being rude to riders and giving them wrong information. Supervisers need to start being present at these stops. And pray that the new drivers in training don’t get poisoned by the bad seeds in the industry. When they get paid hourly to do a job. At night is when this matter is the worst. Somethings needs to be done. No matter what experience they have while driving f the bus it is there duty to stop for all people at stops. No matter race or situation or hardship. And if you are a rider and u see this going on please right a review I’m taking the videos to the news.
No security. Catalytic converter stolen here. Be wary of parking here. If you get dropped off or take a bus in it's fine, but do not park here.
Parking can be a bit limited when compared to other stations but other than that I have no complaints about the 40th and Colorado stop. Clean, buses adjacent, and free parking for the day then $2 or $4 a day after that. (In district license or out of district license).
The ticket machine is broken. Been that way for at least a year.
Quiet and for the most part? Clean. Surprised? I think so. Destination: Union Station. Hoping to be as impressed with it as I am this gorgeous station
