We were in parking lot and told we made it look bad! Our Van had died and the tow truck got us off the thruway. We were in the parking lot, and a guy came over and told us that we needed to leave and go somewhere else in the parking lot, because we were making the hotel look bad! Mind you, this hotel has looked terrible for the last 20 years when driving past on the thru way! The resteraunt is closed, and looks trashed outside.
Bed wasn't made, no towels. Got a new room. Dirty sheets in hallway piled by door. Asked for housekeeping. They smelled of alcohol and marijuana. Non smoking room smelled like stale cigarettes. Wouldn't give me a refund even though I didn't spend the night. Do not stay here. Better off sleeping in my car.
We booked here because we were going to a family anniversary party . We arrived and paid and got the key to the room. The guy at the desk said check out the room because if you want to switch I will have to do it now not later. That should have been our first clue! We went to the room and was horrified. How do you charge people for this. Shower had all rust stains on walls. Peeling paint, musty. We went back and got another key and the second room was not much better really run down hotel. He would not refund our money because we booked on travelocity but I could not sleep in that room ! After many calls Frim travelocity to the hotel directly he agreed to refund our money and we found another hotel. It took 2 hrs of our time because this place is allowed to rent disgusting rooms to the public. Do yourself a favor do not stay here!
HORRIBLE. Filthy. Old. Moldy. A/C was busted and left wide open, the card lock did not work so they gave me a key for a padlock instead. Room service was never even done. Checked in to a room with a bed already rustled up and slept in, Mcdonalds in the trash can from the last guy as well. Oh and his dirty towels on the floor yet. Piss in the toilet.
Staff was also not familiar the Fair Housing act concerning my service animal. They tried to require a deposit even after they were informed she was a service animal and i had shown her certificate. Would not recommend anyone stay here. One night was enough for me. Never again.
Sat. 10/27/2018 Got there at 3 PM. Room electronic key needed to be recoded twice. Left room at 4 PM and returned at 1:30 am Sunday morning after family function. Room 205 would not open. Several trips to office and they could not open the room by 3 am Sunday morning. Too cold to sleep in a car, its raining, and I am a senior citizen female. Opened with difficulty Rm 206 next door. I had no where to go & no luggage. Room 206 dirty, trash in baskets, sheet slept on so I stayed up until 7 pm at the table . They got a man to breakdown room 205 door down to get my things. Said they would refund whole amount. Not the case, my refund receipt only said $30 not the full amount. This was slick to put the other sign receipt over the refund so it seemed like I was signing to get my "full" refund. So my luggage & toiletries had a good nights rest and I sat in a dirty room at a table for 3 hours waiting for someone to break down a door to get my stuff so I can leave. Wish my camera were not locked away with all my luggage. I would have called the police as this was a hazard. Suppose someone were having a heart attack or stepped outside to grab something from their car with a small child in the room...they can't open the door? What kind of place can't open its own doors for safety measures? Unbelievable.
Why didn't they pay me to stay here? Deep brown ring in toilet, sink water splashed everywhere, water tasted funny off and I had to rinse my face and mouth with bottled water after prepping for bed. I was afraid to shower or walk barefoot in the room. But it was late and I slept in the bed. Maybe it was better that way. I woke up to the horror of realizing where I had spent the might. I paid and inquired with apprehension if there was a free breakfast so I could get coffee. Coffee might be safe, right? They said breakfast was extra. I felt relieved, drove away to cleaner pastures and never looked back.
DO NOT STAY HERE! DO NOT PAY - THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU. This place does not even deserve 1 star!!! I stayed there on Saturday, for a place to get some sleep after driving 5 hours. I have stayed in some poor motels, but this one takes the trophy for the WORST! My non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray with the comforter covered in burn marks. The bathroom was so dirty I could not use it. The light fixtures were duct taped milk jugs. The carpets had so many stains and rips, it looked like the scene from a murder mystery movie. The TV had a garage sale price tag for $30 still on the front of it. The pillows were so brown, I wouldn't give them to a farm animal to use. All other surrounding hotels were sold out. My car was a better option! When asking for a refund, the attendant said the owner was the only one who could do that and he wasn't available but gave us a phone number. Every time called the owner wasn't there and was told to call back at a different time. The owner magically became available when I said I was calling to purchase the property. He would not refund the money. The place is a scam!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! We got no sleep, and felt like our lives were at risk!!
We were very tired and thought we were at a Red Roof Inn. Should of realized that it would be bad when we saw the refund policy in large writing on the register. The room was somewhat clean except the carpet was filthy, the beds uncomfortable and the tv didn't really work(no sound). Ended up using our own linens(luckily we had been camping) and leaving at the crack of dawn.
