Gorgeous beach. Lots of parking spots. It wasn’t too busy for a Saturday. The parking cost $15. We stayed about 2.5 hours. It would have been nice to have an option to pay by the hour. There weren’t too many options to find reasonably priced snacks or foods.
Shame on California State Parks for charging $40 per car to park at a “free” military air show. They did that without the courtesy of providing more than one person collecting the fee, though there were two lanes available to enter. That caused traffic to back up on PCH, causing a highway safety issue.
We come here every year!!!! Love this place!!
Notices are not given to the public when the beach is closed, nor did the employees at the box tell us what time it closes, we had never gone to this beach before, now we received a ticket for staying to late but other vehicles did not receive a ticket, so expect to be treated unjustly for no reason.
Pay for a place with closed bathrooms
Parking on the beach grounds is less spensive than street parking unless you are only visiting for an hour or two.
The parking is empty and they have been closing the gates for more than an hour?!!!
