Arrived early for my brunch reservation and had some mimosas at the small but very cozy cute bar. The restaurant is small but very homey feeling and charming. Service was good and the truffled grits were out of this world. Too many awesome sounding options on the menu, I will have to return to try the others and maybe check out the roof deck on a warm day.
I'd go with a 4 star review, except 1905's roof elevates the whole place. Enjoy a glass of wine with a great view of northwest!
Food here is decent. Solid option in the neighborhood. Space is cozy and fun, which gives the meal an added something.
Had an AMAZING time here for my birthday. We got there late afternoon on Saturday to takeover the rooftop bar and were able to save a big amount of space. The bartenders, management, and all the staff actually, were really nice, friendly, and extremely helpful as we filled up the rooftop and made requests for help with cutting cake etc. They let us put up decorations and choose a Pandora playlist too. Food and drinks were great too :)
The drinks and food were okay (a little pricey) and the waiters and waitresses were competent. However, apparently over the past year this venue has become popular with the gay crowd. None of the reviews I had read online indicated this, but I found out later through other online posts. Had I known this we would have chosen a different restaurant for a romantic (man & woman) dinner after a long day of sight seeing. Now I understand why the waiter stood at his station by the bar and stared at us the entire time. Not recommended.
Just discovered this gem in shaw. Great rooftop for a happy hour drink on a Friday evening after a long week. Staff was friendly and the drink selection was good. The food looked delicious but we did not have any. It is a great space.
When I first saw the menu with truffled grits and pork belly I knew this was going to be an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, bottomless mimosas were more champagne than orange juice(perfecto) and the service quick and attentive. We enjoyed the rustic dining room as well.Looking forward to going back this summer to dine on the rooftop.
My husband made a reservation for us on Mother's Day. We were seated immediately. The restaurant had a wonderful warm feel. I was concerned at first about bringing the kids, but the staff catered to them very well. The waiter asked if we wanted small plates for the kids and made sure items were far enough from their reach when setting the table. They frequently came to fill up our bottomless mimosas. Be careful coming down the stairs after they fill you up with Mimosas. :-)
I didn't care for the food on the menu so I stuck to the fries with a side green Tabasco mayo. We spent all of our time on the rooftop deck which was cool. The drinks were fine.
