Tried out the newest version of 18 West which will soon have the name permanently changed. I also would say it's a refreshing swicth from the debacle that was 18 West, which was a disaster from day one. They have a great menu and daily specials. Tried the Bacon wrapped cheese stick appetizer today, very good. Nicole, the bartender was very nice and accomidating. Will be back again.
Steak tacos were very flavorful and they have great drink specials.
Upscale Dining atmosphere with casual dining comfort! Food was excellent as were the drinks and service! Continued our get together on the patio, staying much longer than we planned. Great place to meet up with friends. Will definitely go back soon.
Amazing food. Amazing burgers. Amazing everything. Recommend their steak burritos which were incredibly juicy and rich, their chicken fillet sandwich, their fries, and just about everything they have to offer. Servers on both occasions I've been here were incredibly attentive and very polite. The restaurant is clean, modern, and sleek. Overall a great place.
This place has been on my radar since its opened. My girlfriend and I went there on a friday for dinner. Walking up to the place and it looks very upscale but once we walked in I was a little lost no one was there to greet me, the bartender saw the lost look on my face and told me to sit down anywhere. After a few steps we where greeted by a man (looked like the owner) and he sat us in the back room. We sat there for about a minute without menus before he realized we didn't have any. After looking at the menu, I realized that this place was more of a casual modern family restaurant. Everything the the menu looked good. We had the jalapeno poppers as an app, not a fan. The filling tasted spoiled. I had the wings as my main dish and they where good. I had them with the buffalo and Asian sauce. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich which also tasted really good. Overall this place was a okay, I'm all for supporting local businesses. However, if I was greeted when I first walked in and if the jalapeno poppers didn't taste rotten I would have gave this place 5 stars.
This is a great pub and grill, the Bang Bang Shrimp is the perfect starter along with their Pretzel Bites. I really enjoyed the pot roast sandwich and B.L.T., the B.L.T. was huge and filling. Their burgers are just as good if not better, their special house blend makes takes the burger to the next level compared to other burgers in the area. Our waitress Josephine was very polite and made sure our glasses were always filled. 18 West’s ambiance is that of a bar and grill that you may find in Old Town or Bucktown, but still has that neighborhood feel. I have recommended 18 West to co-workers in the area and they were just as happy with their experience.
Ordered two burgers and a salad. They took 2 hours to come to the table (there were maybe 8 people in total in the restaurant). One of the burgers were wrong so it was sent back. Both burgers and fries were cold. Food tasted decent for the price, but what killed was the wait for the food.
Came to watch the fight and grab some drinks, and I’ve never experienced such horrible service, the drink I ordered was a Moscow mule and it tasted like dirty tap water with vodka, re ordered it again and still was nasty. Now the husband ordered a Modelo on tap (because they no longer sell Blue Moon on tap) and that was the nastiest beer he ever tasted. The food was semi good but it was really disappointing because we loved going to 18wesr and never had any complaints, we just know we will never be back again.
