Best WLM Reviews
Excellent brasserie with a stunning view of town hall. The service was great and the desserts were so delicious. We sat outside but when we checked the interior, we loved what we saw, definitely will be back for dinner to enjoy the decor.
A very disappointing dining experience. My wife ordered plate of the day, which was tomato soup and beef bourguignon. Soup was good, but beef had no vegetables. I ordered Croque Monsieur - turned out to be a rather terrible toasted ham and cheese sandwich! Service was very slow. Staff were disinterested.
This is an absolutely disappointing experience in Ghent. There was a horrible acidic smell from the toilet that doesn’t have doors coming in waves into the dining area.
Lettuce had sand. “Large beer” is 0.3 and the 44 Euro ribeye was as bad as the one I normally cook at home and think I have no idea what I’m doing. Impossible to chew and mixed in one plate with my friend, who asked for it medium well while I had medium rare (mine was properly cooked while the medium rare one was more of a medium)
My two other friends had “normal” steak and that was tender and cooked to perfection and probably cost way less.
We took the steak and the apple pie… everything was divine! We recommend
Awful staff!!! We came by the first time and asked if they had a place for 4, they told us it’s only with reservations (like most of the places around). So we made a reservation and came back later but apparently it annoyed the waiter! He started complaining to a waitress about the fact that it’s the second time we come back but this time we had a reservation and he left to the kitchen. The waitress suddenly tells us they are overbooked although four tables were empty without a reservation tag. What an unprofessional and unfriendly staff. We were shocked by how they were acting. It seems only local people are “welcome” there. Would definitely never set foot here again. The place next door was also full but welcomed us first and told us they are full in a friendly way. Not so O Grand after all when professionalism is underrated there.
Centre Ville is like the Rolls-Royce of the restaurants in Gent, excellent kitchen, experienced staff, very kind and customer friendly. Shortly said, the sanctuary of good cuisine. A real pleasure to go, an experience that money can’t buy. It’s more than food, it’s the spirit or ecastasy of Gent. You must go to eat from the hands of Chef Kelly. Thank you so much!!!!
Very filling. Very good taste.
Inside and outside dining is available (call for inside reservations is recommended). Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. The food was amazing!
