Best WLM Reviews
This review solely of Canton Manor’s Dim Sum lunch service.
Party of 5 Sunday noon and wasn’t super crowded. We were seated promptly, and throughout the entire lunch, service was very quick and courteous. For the duration of one hour, the food carts came around often and all dishes were readily available. The only small downside was all the tables are laid out very close to one another, in return all patrons felt like being shoulder to shoulder.
Overall we did enjoy this location since it’s far from flushing and parking is readily available both in their private lot and street side.
tasty and versatile menu. service can be a little iffy for a foreigner because the staff mostly speak chinese (though they try their best). atmosphere can be very busy in here and feel a bit cramped at times. lots of parking spaces unless you go during peak time
No wait on a Sunday late afternoon. If you noticed some issue with you food be sure to speak up. Staff Frank was kind and helpful and give good recommendations. All the staff were friendly from the lady pushing the cart to the manager. Please be patient as they speak limited English.
For a neighborhood Cantonese restaurant this is the better one. Pretty good lunch special offer and dimsum quality. Parking lot usually full but street parking available nearby.
Really nice to find something nearby and not have to go to Chinatown for authentic Dim sum. The food was good and the restaurant is clean. For Asian standard, I would rate 4/5 for the food, because the buns were slightly dry and the shrimp dumplings were slightly soggy. But still have the taste and it’s yummy.
Staffs were so friendly. We have a toddler and they were very attentive and accommodating.
They used to be on Main Street. Private rooms with two large tables, reservations taken. Packed on a very cold Saturday. A retired chef from our group ordered the dishes. Everything tasted delicious. Authentic Cantonese cuisine. Parking lot is also packed. Easy street parking on side streets.
Long Island just got another choice for cantonese seafood restaurant! And food wise, this this really authentic, you don’t need to bother to go to Flushing anymore.
Yes, they have two private room, which can connected together.
Yes, they have fresh seafood.
Service is generally good, but I do experience some forced service from dim sum lady, which I don’t like.
The environment is ok, but it didn’t change too much from old CBD Korean tofu house.
Overall great family gathering place for the weekend!
Came here with 2 special gals for an exquisite evening. Food, venue, & service is great ????. Prices are a bit higher than some comparable restaurants in Flushing.
The venue here is spacious with plenty of parking. It use to be the old BCD Tofu house. I do recommend the 2 Lobsters steamed with garlic & scallions, be sure to add flat noodles for extra $10. This is a good portion for 3-4 people.
The other 2 dishes were also good but I think the portion can be larger as I recall. This restaurant use to operate in Flushing and some of the staff actually still remember me. ????????????????
I recognize Jennifer because she’s always polite & friendly. They have a few private rooms here for vip dinners. BYOB is also an option with a cork fee.
The seafood tastes fresh, sweet, & succulent. If you reside in Long Island then this is definitely worth the visit. The convenience makes the small premium on top worthwhile.
Complimentary red bean dessert & orange slices are served at the end of your meal.
We came here for dim sum on a Saturday. We came early around 10:30 AM, and it quickly got busy and all the tables filled up. Overall the food was good, but not as much variety as I would like. They have all of the classic dim sum dishes, but I wish they had the turnip cake when we went. The restaurant was kept pretty nice and clean. The servers were all really polite, which is refreshing because a lot of other dim sum places in Flushing have rude staff members. I would come back for dim sum, but what I really want to do is come here for dinner which I’ve heard is really good. They have parking on site, and street parking if the parking lot fills up.
