Some of the nicest most skilled people people i’ve ever had work on my hair! <33 Both the owner and stylists I interacted with were super sweet and caring and did an amazing job. Nothing but good thingss! ᰔᰔᰔ
Malihe was so amazing she was one of the most sweetest people ever. She gave me my dream hair that I have been wanting for forever. I went in with black box dyed hair and I was able to get pretty blonde. I’m so happy I found this salon was my first time going here. Malihe really cares that you leave happy with your hair. Highly recommend!!
Malihe is an artist and it’s obvious that she has passion for what she does; She is extremely kind and attentive to her clients’ needs and she did a great job with my hair today. I highly recommend her and her salon to anyone looking for a hair stylist!
I went here for Brazillian blowout and I was disappointed to see results after the first hair wash. I have very frizzy hair and honestly, my expectation after talking with my hair stylist was that my hair frizziness would improve after this treatment. The sad part is it improved only a little. Speaking the truth, I wouldn't mind going for this treatment had it been half its price, but for the amount you end up paying, it didn't feel worth it.
EDIT (response to Mali): I wasn't expecting straight hair after the treatment (even though thats how you sell it on your instagram) but like my photo clearly shows, it didnt help with the frizziness and we both know you mentioned that it will. Sorry if you are offended but my only purpose to post this review here is to let others know about my experience.
I have very challenging hair. It is stick straight, baby fine, and has no natural body. The first time I got my hair cut short, I was told I have numerous cowlicks going everything which way, and when they got done I looked like a kid who got hold of Mom's scissors! I like it short for lots of reasons, so I started spiking it to get some shape and work with the cowlicks. Salons would never cut it short enough, and when I tried going to barbers, I was told several times they don't cut women's hair. I could only get them to take me if I showed up in person and they saw how short I really have it. I found a barber who would cut it short enough, but half the time forgot to leave my hairline natural and gave me the square, man-cut neckline. I just figured I would have to wear it spiked and square if I wanted it short.
I don't even remember how I lucked into Mimi at Ziba, but she nailed it the first try! It was in the top three of all the cuts I had ever had. When I went back, she did it again, and again! I have never walked out of there unhappy with a haircut. She has found a way to get my pixie to look like I'm a female, and not trying to be a man. I have a square face and masculine features, but Mimi makes me feel pretty.
She's more expensive than a barber, but she's worth every penny! I'll add a photo after my cut tomorrow.
Needed a cut for my two tween girls with very different hair (thick/straight and think/wavy) and Mackenzie did an amazing job. Her curtain bangs were perfect and she gave some great advice on how to style on busy mornings.
I've been seeing Mimi for almost 5 years since moving to Beaverton from SE Portland. I'm always scared to go to a new hair stylist, but Mimi is fantastic. I've had long and short cuts. They always look amazing and grow out well.
Mimi spends a lot of time on my hair, and the price is reasonable especially compared to what I was paying on the East side of PDX. I feel like she's more of an artist than a stylist. During my first visit, she told me a lot of interesting facts about my particular hair. Over the years she has recommended styles to try or avoid based on the shape of my face.
I really appreciate how she understands my lifestyle and has given me a cut that is easy to do myself with minimal effort. I left the salon today feeling like a brand new person.
Mimi is worth seeing. I'll never have anyone else cut my hair. I hope she never retires!
Mimi Liu does an outstanding job cutting and coloring my hair. I have been going to her for 25 years and have never left her chair disappointed. My hair can be challenging and Mimi is a master at making it “work” in the best way possible for me. Her color weaves are amazingly natural looking, which is exactly what I want. She is easy to schedule with and is always on time. Mimi is also always flexible if I need to change an appointment day or time; she is exceptionally accommodating.
