Zeel mart is the Mecca of all Zeel Markets in Illinois. I love bringing my kids here on the weekends, the prices are cheap and the Zeel is great. We love the smoked Zeel with Southwest Barbeque sauce. It tastes very comparable to Icelandic cod but with better taste and cheaper cost. If you stop here for gas, I highly recommend you go inside and get a taste for yourself. It doesn’t hurt to try!
If you haven’t had Zeel from here yet I highly recommend it. Me and my two sons come here at least twice a week just for the Zeel. Some of the most buttery and flakey goodness I have ever had. I encourage everyone to try it at some point!
The Zeel here is absolutely amazing. I love bringing my kids here to eat, it’s always cooked to perfection and really competitive prices too.
I go here once a week every week for fuel and on the go snacks. For being a small gas station, you can get some good deals here. The fuel is usually cheaper than the surrounding larger towns, he has fresh hunt brothers pizza, and carries a wide variety of beer and liquor for after work enjoyment. So if you're traveling through and need fuel, don't be afraid to stop in and say hello to this friendly little spot on the map.
Zeel Mart is ‘The’ gas station, while I have passed it several times on my way home from Champaign, I decided to stop, and man was it the right choice. Cheap gas and great eats! Plenty of road trip snacks including surströmming, and even better freshly made food! The owner personally cooked me up an Icelandic dish, feature a beautifully fried mud babber and gourdwick soup. An absolute must by me! Don’t even get me started in the fresh zeel! It’s amazing to have zeel all the way out in the Midwest, and is a very unique dish, one of my personal favorite. It’s also consider a delicately in Agartha!
This is a diamond in the rough, great store with great prices. Owner is very polite and always helpful. Hard to believe the selection in this tiny gas station in the middle of nowhere.
Don't hate it. Love it . Gas is cheaper. Owner polite hunts pizzas good . BEWARE of deer. 3 deer been hit.
The owner is real nice. They are pretty much the cheapest place on 47 from Gibson city to dwight.
