The main reason we came to Zaxbys is my daughter wanted a beast box. They are out of cheddar bites because it is popular which is understandable...but they wouldn't even substitute the cheddar bites for extra fries or anything else. Just flat out said they wouldn't sell it. Then we had to wait 20 minutes in the parking lot to get the food we did order. Just a horrible experience overall.
Every Zaxby's is great. THIS Zaxby's is the best of them from cleanliness to the employees.
I liked it.
I don't eat 'fast food' often; the grease, the sterile atmosphere, the boring food turn me off of those places, not to mention the caloric overload most bring.
But finding a place to eat that my teenager agrees with can be ..... problematic.
I had seen this spot repeatedly - and had thrown the idea at him several times - but had not stopped. We found ourselves nearby and decided to try it.
Similar food offerings to a different chicken restaurant that is never open on Sundays, the vibe is more homey, kind of like 'BBQ place meets fast food'.
Staff was quite friendly, actually smiling on a Saturday afternoon.
Food was properly made, hot, tasty and the Zax's sauce has a great flavor to it as well as a spicier version which I will definitely try next time. There isn't anything particularly special on the menu, grilled and fried chicken & a few sides but wasn't expecting more, honestly.
Access is easy, with curb cuts/ramps and plenty of room to navigate inside for wheelchairs & crutches. Booths & tables make up the seating.
Worst zaxbys experience ive had. First you walk in and see how filthy the tables, floors, chairs/benches are. Then my husband and I received our order and both meals were incorrect. I ordered kickin chicken but received a signature spicy sandwich that has hairs cooked into it. she ordered the signature spicy sandwich and received chicken tenders. When I brought it to the managers attentions she did not want to issue a refund until asked multiple times. If I could leave a ZERO I would.
My egg rolls are burnt and gross inside!!
The manager here was very friendly and excellent service. I love their salad. It's definitely filling and fresh.
Attention Popeyes, McDonald's, Burger King and everyone else: I am in the middle of devouring my first meal from Zaxby's and I'm here to tell you that all of you have serious competition... finally! AND they're waaaaay better than you in every way. I ordered chicken strips and crinkle cut fries online and picked them up on my dinner break. Even though there was a significant line I was able to get through it in about 5/6 minutes. Their customer service is impeccable. The people who have been hired to work at Zaxby's are clearly professionals because they were cool under pressure and courteous and kind even joked a little but never missed a beat with delivering customer service, the kind that makes you want to come back; something none of you have been able to do earnestly for the year that I've been here thus far. Yes, that's right, their food is five stars across-the-board flavor and everything --and the drive through is immaculate, pothole-free and efficient; which means now I know who I'm going to order from the next time I don't feel like cooking. Here's a hint: not you Popeyes with your long lines and terrible past experiences, and definitely not you Burger King with your potholes and ridiculous missing menu items and lighting and certainly not you McDonald's with your overpriced underwhelming food Zaxby's is in the house & you'd better take notice!
The food is hot when you get it so that alone is a big plus for me ,as many fast food places are well at best just low grade burger joints with a big name , the only minus I have is that the last time I are here is was a tad salty , its fast food but nice fast food but as I said maybe a tad salty for some.
