This shop was the cleanest shop I’ve been too since being in VA. Idk what the back room looks like….but anywho the barbers/stylist greeted me at the door very pleasant. I have a autistic 10yr old who I am teaching to be more independent his barber Nikki D caught on and said “I got him” she was patient and did a great job with his cut and lineup!!!! I didn’t even mention his status she just took the lead and as a single mom I really appreciate that! Already have my second appointment booked.
I’ve been to this shop for both barber services for the boys and braiding services for my daughter. Everyone is very professional and they provide quality service.
My daughters gets her hair braided and it last longer than usual b/c Makya braids them just tight enough to last long but without the headaches.
My son got his 1st haircut from Leo and did great and had been going since which has been 3 years! He is patient and detailed in his haircuts and my boy always leaves fresh! I wouldn’t take him anywhere else.
I was referred to Zone1 by one of my students at Kiln Creek Elementary School. I was so impressed with the beauty of her hairstyle that I inquired where her hair was done. With great detail, this young lady told me about Makya and Zone1 and I immediately set out to find the salon and make contact. I have not been disappointed. From the very beginning, Makya, was very pleasant and down to earth, and always professional. When I sit down in her chair, I know that my natural hair will be well taken care of. I also appreciate her patience as well as her knowledge of natural hair care. The new location of the salon is centrally locates, very clean, and inviting. Any woman, man or child needing natural hair care services and a great cut should check out Zone1.
The facility is well kept and clean, along with the surrounding areas. It’s a professional ran facility, Leo is a Top notch (Barber), I been all over the United State & overseas, Leo is one the Best you’re ever see! If you’re a young barber or veteran looking to improve you’re skills look to working alongside with Leo.

I absolutely love my daughter's hair. Makya did an amazing job. we will definitely become regulars. Hair isn't to tight or long as she is a toddler and the braids are VERY neat. She did not disappoint
Makya is very professional and efficient. She communicates well with her clients and make them feel welcome. Braid last long and I come back here every time I need my hair braided because the prices are very affordable for quality braids.
I been going to Leo and Makya for quit some time now....i told Leo how i wanted my hair cut and and he been doing what i asked (without having to repeat myself like to other barbers i had in the past) he cut my hair the same and even better each time im always satisfied! Makya started my locs and she does an excellent job every time, i do not have to tell her how i want a style she hit it on point with satisfactory each time! Great stylist and barber! ( First time I ever posted a review on anybody) was worth it!
