Best WLM Reviews
This is one of the only places I will eat meat at a Chinese restaurant. Most Chinese restaurants seem to use cheap, rubbery meat, both not Maple Garden! Their meat is high quality and cooked to perfection, with a crispy shell. The Szechwan chicken is amazing. It is similar to General Tsao’s in flavor, but better. It is marked as spicey, but isn’t spicey. I also love their fries wontons.
The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, and even has a fish tank and water wall.
The lunch combos are a great deal, but keep in mind that they are smaller portions than the dinner portions. I’ve included pictures of the Szechwan chicken and pork lo mein lunch specials.
I am so glad that Sherrie brought this back after her parents closed the original ones. They have the same great taste (and even chefs)! I also love that she recognizes us, knows our order, and enjoys seeing our family grow.
The minute we walked in the owner was grouchy at us. There were very few people there and I can see why. The venue is such a beautiful place and fun atmosphere…. Why they lease it out to this lady is ruining its reputation? She needs to practice some people skills! Her tone put us all in a down mood and she made us feel like we were a burden when we asked for some silverware. Her mom was a delight and I wanted to take her home and save her from the bullying I witnessed. The food wasn’t the best but it wasn’t bad! We choked it down with a heavy cloud hanging over us. Such a disappointment for our granddaughters big graduation night. In a world where we’re all under pressure and busy and doing our best, my suggestion would be to slow down and be more kind! What you put out there comes back!
All of the reviews saying that the owner is rude are correct. I experienced it myself. You may be busy but that is no excuse to be snappy and demeaning to customers. She made everyone feel that they had to hurry up while ordering because she was in such a hurry. We were a burden to her because she had so much to do. My sister was very offended, and my 90 year old grandpa sat quietly through the whole dinner because he was so unhappy about his interaction with her. We were all feeling uncomfortable too. I wish I had read the reviews past the first few before taking my whole family here to celebrate my daughter's graduation.
I also have to say when I got on here to write this review I saw all of the past reviews about her customer service, then I was shocked to see her comments back to these people. That's proof right there of how very unpleasant she is. If you're the owner and someone was unhappy with their experience own up to it and see what you can do to have customers keep coming back, don't make comments that make them feel even worse! I'm shocked this place is still in business.
First time here, and the experience was wonderful. It's doesn't look much from the outside, but once you step in, it feels magical ✨️ the atmosphere was quite a comforting part while sipping on soup. The waitress was most attentive and nice. The food was deliciously amazing.
1st of all the sweet little lady that brings the drinks, fills the water is the sweetest lady there.
The lady that waited on us and presented herself as the owner and bragged about how good she was and then proceeded to make me feel like an inch tall because I asked her if she had chicken noodles and she was so rude and condescending I’ve never been talked to like that in my life And I was trying to let it go and she insulted my 87-year-old mother and then I couldn’t take it anymore and I told her how rude she was and that I couldn’t believe that she was treating us like that. I used to go to Maple Gardens Years ago and it was always good. I just can’t believe her, I’m still in awe right now as I sit here writing this that she treated us like that. I will never go there again and I’m sure as I have read here, There’s other people that feel exactly like I do And I could tell because there was only two other tables when we were there.
As one guy stated if u go hear bring your boxing gloves and prepare for war.
Check out this cool little place inside the train station. I love the old building atmosphere and it was cool watching the night trains roll by through the windows. The food was fresh and well cooked. All the dishes we ate were delicious! The staff was very attentive. I really enjoyed eating here!
We got the Szechuan chicken and it was very very very good!
Not sure what devil magic they used to keep the chicken crispy in the sauce..????????
We also got ham fried rice and the hot and sour soup. Both delicious.
We'll definitely be back!
The staff were all very sweet with my kids, and were prompt. We didn't have to wait to be seated and they brought the food out quickly.
Maple Gardens has been around for a very long time. I went there for years when my children were young. They have since moved to this new location and the menu has fewer items than it used to, but they have done what they have needed to, to survive after all the Covid closures. They are hard workers and do a good job.
