I used to come to this place pretty often even though they never remembered me. I used to like this place and recommend it to many of my friends. However, the recent visit was not that pleasant. Service was ok but not Michelin star service. However they charged us more than Michelin star dinner tips percentage for our lunch. First, nobody charged 20%+ tips for LUNCH for a party of 5. Second, you are not supposed to charge tips for tax. That’s like a 22%-23% tips of the food price. You just lost a loyal customer by adding a few more bucks that’s not supposed to be added. It was LUNCH! Not planning to come back anymore! さよなら!
Food was hastily made like airplane food.
The waitress had disgusting behavior. Gave us all bad looks and charged us $20 extra per person, dishonest about menu pricing.
The place is a complete scam. They're running out of business and are desperate.
We dined at the Yuki’s last night. We ordered 3 items combinations which comes with salads miso soup 12 pieces of Sashimi, calamari steak, grilled saba, with cold noodles, cabbage as side. Sashimi is very very fresh. Udon is also good. However Sushi was not available last night. They don’t have sushi every day, so call ahead before you go. (Sushi chef only comes in Friday night & Sat. All day. )Thanks
It's an authentic cozy Japanese restaurant. Great food, good price, convenient location in Fremont. Highly recommend.
Didn't mention that sushi bar is closed...food is okay, just very expensive for what they offer. Portion is also okay.

The daily specials is always a treat and the fish is high quality. Nov 2018 update: lost sushi chef, sushi bar closed. a few walked out because of that
I really enjoyed yuki's. It's a wonderful little neighborhood joint with good quality food. They only serve sushi on Friday and Saturday, but sashimi is available all the time. The quality of the fish was good, the presentation was nice, the dishes were quality (no disposables), and the waitress was genuinely charming. Is it really high end Japanese? No, but it's the high end of local sushi joints.
I've been to Japan many times. And Yuki is my favorite place in Fremont when I crave for authentic Japanese cuisine.
