WORST HAIR SALON IN NYC! The woman who did my hair spent three hours shouting in my ear (and in Spanish, so I couldn't understand) and roughly combing and destroying my hair. When I asked her to take it easier on my head, she kept tugging and was SO disrespectful. Her shouting got so aggressive that I felt unsafe to say anything back. Her work was equally as awful. She handled my human hair so poorly that the hair got destroyed. Here are the pictures of my destroyed hair that I will need to spend hours fixing myself. What a waste of $150 and so much of my time. I wish I had never set foot in this rubbish place.
DONT COME HERE. Yoloor whatever her name is is the most disrespectful person i’ve ever met in my life. First, she put perm in my shampoo when i told her NOT TO. When i got home, ALL my hair fell off, $170 down the drain. Second, Now about the prices, they are ridiculously high. It was $170 for a wash and set. She complained my 4C hair was “too hard to manage” so she charged me more. And as i was going through the prices for everything, it’s just ridiculously high for not good work, it’s just not worth it. Third, i do not recommend coming here if your sensitive and know spanish because best believe she will be talking mess. I have afro latina parents who had taught me spanish since i was 2. Although i speak spanish very well, i also speak english very well. While setting up my appointment i spoke english with her, not one word of spanish and I acted as if i didn’t understand a word she said in spanish. Right when i sat down on the chair she started going off about me on spanish. Mind you, not one thing i said disrespectful to this lady. “Who does she think she is coming to my salon with her hair lookin a mess” “She probably thinks she’s all that with her purse “ “Her hair is so rough how does she expect me to do all of this, people these days are stupid. “ She then went off a little more but that’s all i can remember for now. She went off about me, and another sweet old white lady. She goes off about her clients in spanish to her co workers. I can’t imagine the situation her co workers are in when they hear the bullcrap she speaks, they never say a thing. This is honestly so unbelievable and no one should be treated this way. If i could give this a zero I would.
They have perm in there conditioner and damage my hair I do not recommend if you are a black women my hair is damage and thin now I am pissed!!!! Cut all my hair off to restart ????

Save your money and go to a real cosmetologist. I came here to get my roots retouched and Yolie put the dye in my hair and LEFT THE SALON! What professional does that? I had to ask someone to wash it out after 45minutes of just sitting around. I left with damaged & over processed hair. Not to mention ORANGE roots, where it was supposed to be red. A few days later, I had bald spots and broken hair. It’s going to take years to undo the trauma this place has caused my hair.
Not to mention they put relaxer in the shampoo/conditioner. Stay far away!!
So I use to go to their old location called clara. But recently the stylists are not professional especially my particular stylist. The hair washer is heavy handed and just gives off an negative attitude. I just have bad feeling about.her. The last time I went was 12.04.12. The only had cold water to wash our hair. I was unaware of this so I had to just stuck it up to do my day already starting off late. I bring my own products because their products are cheap. Alot of girls bring their own supplies as well. They barely speak English by the way. So I use my google translate.
Joly has been coloring my hair for the past 4 years & does an excellent job. She’s great with highlights too! I highly recommend her! The staff is very friendly and everyone pitches in to make sure the job gets done on time
When I walked in I was greeted with a smile by Jolie. I have natural hair so I was bit nervous but going through the reviews I knew I had to come get my hair done. When I say this was the best wash n set I’ve ever had. My hair looks and feels amazing. Thank you Jolie for great customer service. Btw I live in Brooklyn so that speak volume.
