Disapointing Steak, i had the most expensiv number one Premium meat, and IT was tough to chew. I ate only half of IT. IT was Not worth the experience. The side where good tough. Ich would Not recommend to eat Steak here. The waiter did Not evem ask ehy i didnt ate the whole Steak, and didnt question it hat i refused to take away the Rest...
Great tasting barbeque. Was surprised to see they had barbeque shikabobs, and wasn't expecting the perfectly cooked and outstanding taste! Tasted like I was eating a barbeque steak. Loved the beans too. Family owned, operated. Ambience was old time Western with room for groups. Comfortable and friendly place for an afternoon barbeque. Highly recommend.
Don’t….. do… it! I ordered 1/2 slab of ribs that came with a side of cornbread, beans, salad and corn. My husband ordered a combo with 1/2 ribs, 6 oz sirloin steak (medium well), and had the same sides as me. They gave us our salad drenched in ranch in 1 bowl to share, 1 piece of cornbread cut in 1/2 for us to share on a plate and gave us our beans to share in a small black cauldron. The Ribs were greasy, fatty, with no seasonings. The steak plain and dry, and was suppose to be cooked medium well and instead was given as well. Beans are canned pinto beans (literally as if they just scooped it out of the can! The juices from it was with the beans). The corn was regular corn and the baked potato was a plain overcooked plain potato. They offered no sauces except for steak sauce.
This place is overly priced for the quality of food and service. Just for the 2 of us it was $76.60 and they added 5% gratuity which was actually 9% when calculated.
Poor service, poor food, and overcharged! Also cotton pickin chicken is racist and should be changed. Extremely offensive.
Honestly zero issues. No wait, Food was good and plentiful, service was fast. My girlfriend and I as we usually do split a meal and the server actually gave us a second steak so we'd each have one, no extra charge! Don't get sucked into the steak house down the road and wait 30-40 minutes in line to get a seat. Give it a go. Eh!
We had excellent juniper wood fired steaks! Not sure why anyone would rate this restaurant so low. We loved the Western decor throughout. The portions were good sized with salad & delicious cornbread, baked potato, corn on the cob & baked beans served in a cute little pot. Don’t skip the homemade hot apple pie a La mode! It’s the perfect place to stop after a day at the Grand Canyon!
Great western theme! Great salad! More western than Dodge City Kansas!???? Great food and steaks plus fantastic corn bread! Best I’ve ever had! This is a hidden gem! The steak was fantastic!! This place gets a ten out of ten!! The apple pie is unbelievable!
Prompt service and generous portions. Too much food for either of us to eat. The atmosphere is dark and western. My wife had the hamburger and enjoyed it. The fries were good too. I had the half-rack of ribs. They had a good flavour but were a little rubbery. The small cob of corn was a nice surprise but it was boiled for too long: it was really soft and tasteless. The salad served at the beginning of our meal was fresh (lettuce, tomato and red onions) with a generous glob of salad dressing. My wife liked the flavor; I prefer salad without dressing but we were not asked about that. Beer was served cold and the soda was well carbonated with lots of ice. The men's washroom was clean, functional and decorated with framed cowboy cats.
So so good. After having a terrible experience down the road...we walked into a warm, welcoming restaurant with immediate seating in a busy restaurant. The food was absolutely phenomenal!! Service was amazing. So friendly and fun. If you are in the area... definitely go there! Open fire barbeque meat and beans! Tons of food for the price! Coffee was delicious as well, very fresh.
