Best WLM Reviews
When you think of Garden Grove, you usually think of Vietnamese food or at least that what I do. I would have never thought to drive down to Garden Grove for some bomb Korean food, let alone 매운 갈비찜 (Spicy Braised Beef Ribs). Yigah does their signature dish particularly special and different from other restaurants that specializes in this dish, especially the ones in K-town. My friend and I ordered their regular spicy with cheese and rice cake and it was hands down the best braised beef ribs I've had in SoCal. The meat literally falls off the bone when you pick at it and we both let it marinate some more in the sauce once we took the bones out. The sauce was addicting and we devoured it with the rice we had on the side. When the servers bring in out, you get to watch a little fire show that they demonstrate with their force to melt the cheese and that's always a sight to watch. As for the bossam, the meat was nice and tender and I liked how it was kept warm by a candle on the bottom of the metal dish they used. However, since both my friend and I focused on the braised beef ribs, we neglected the bossam the entire time and didn't each much of it. Overall, we did enjoy our meal here, in particular the spicy braised beef ribs and would come here again. Definitely come check out Yigah if you're in the area or you want to try out a new Korean restaurant in the OC!
I visited during lunch time and had spicy pork combo (about $20), and the portion is great! My husband ordered a cold noodle(물냉면) & dumpling combo (about $25). Spicy pork was a bit salty for me, but i assume most people would like it (as i prefer to make my own food less salty and greasy at home.) Overall it was great. Love their dumpling, and cold noodles. I wish they offer mode side dishes though. They only have two kinds of kimchi (배추김치 & 깍두기) and steamed cabbage.
We ordered the octopus bibimbap, spicy beef noodles, and tripes/intestines soup. All the dishes were delicious. The restaurant was quite busy, but our food came out fast. Our server was very nice and friendly. The only downside is that they don't have a lot of options for the side dishes. I will come back again to try other menu options.
The food is different from the Yigah in Irvine. I would say the banchan (side dishes) were a bit lacking, but it wasn’t too bad. The prices were pretty high, though.
Went for late dinner on Saturday night. About 15min wait. Staff is so hardworking. Delicious food with great meats and vegetables. Great spice with their dishes. Regular had kick, so def catered to spicy palates.
Discovered a super yum Korean food restaurant in town, follow me!
Highlights of the menu:
1. BBQ Short ribs
2. Bibimbap
Their ribs are extremely tender and fall off the bone. The sauce is slightly sweet and savory, soo good! Quick service, casual ambiance.
I recently visited a Korean restaurant and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the portions were large! I highly recommend trying the bibimbap and the bulgogi bibimbap. The beef bulgogi was phenomenal and my favorite plate. The kimchi side was also fantastic and had the perfect amount of spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Service could be a tad better as there were limited staff who were walking extremely fast so it was hard to flag them down. Overall, I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
The GG area's hidden gem.
I'd heard about this restaurant for a long time but hadn't had the chance to try it until a friend invited me. Surprisingly, this place exceeded my expectations, so I brought my husband here for the second time, and he enjoys it as well.
All the food tasted delicious l, the servers were nice and friendly, and the decor is simple but elegant in Korean style.
We will definitely return.
