Best WLM Reviews
This place has a very clean and relaxing atmosphere with Korean decor. The bathrooms are clean and they have TV + music. The food is ready super quickly and you are also passed out four refillable bowls of tiny appetizers. The servers are good with kids and very nice. The food is DELICIOUS! Better than most restaurants out there. You get complimentary water and rice.
I ignored all the bad reviews and decided to give this place a try. The fact that this restaurant is owned by Koreans is a total shame as this is NOT a Korean restaurant. This is a restaurant that serves Korean food, as if it was imitated by someone isn’t Korean. But the fact that it was owned by Koreans - I am definitely extremely disappointed. The other low one star reviews were right - the quality is terrible. Everything on the menu that we had ordered feels like it came from a food court cafeteria. No one in Seoul would be serving beef dumplings like that - no restaurant in Korea would be serving cold poor quality tofu pieces that is breaking and completely flavorless and definitely not - in an ox bone soup-it tasted like bland hot water with 5 littlest pieces of meat with thin white noodles - no matter how much pepper and salt you need to the broth - it was like drinking plain hot water. Only after we had asked about side dishes, that they brought out 2 little kimchi and broccoli almost at the end of our meal. I really cannot think of anything that this restaurant did well. Other Korean restaurants in white plains were way better, not to mention u get way more for your buck.
Wings were a little salty but ok. Shrimp ???? fried rice ???? was tasty. I’d come back again.
Thoroughly enjoyed this place and looking forward to returning. I had the crispy chicken wings and fried rice with beef. Lovely atmosphere, and everything was spotless. Our food was delicious and we will definitely be returning.
We spent $232 for 2 adults and 1 child. The meat is grilled for you. The food was mediocre, I was expecting it to be better. When I go to Korean BBQ, I kinda want to grill it myself but no biggie.
We wanted to order one more order of meat and the server looked almost annoyed, didn't say anything but grunted. I understand there are a few tables that have the set up to grill but we came early enough and there was still another empty grilling table. If that wasn't a turn off we were just given the bill without even asking for it. We weren't even finished with our meal. What if we wanted dessert? So uninviting, will not go back.
Don’t get the braised cod, it may come still frozen like it did for me. The wings were below average, the spicy rice cakes were tasty and the bibimbaps were good. The Russian hit man server was an odd choice, but I understand it’s hard to find good help.
Overall, it's an okay Korean place. Will describe my personal experience from the last visit.
Hospitality - We were guided to the seat without a single word. I am not expecting a face full of smiles but it was quite awkward. Throughout our stay at the restaurant, there was no comfort spared for us, so we rushed to the end.
Hygiene - even considering it was saturday, there were some concerns. I attached a photo of a table with sticky remaining/residue. Furthermore, in the men's restroom, there was a string of dust that was hanging near the vent like spider web. Didn't bring my phone to the restroom so no pic is available.
Taste & Price - I checked some responses from the restaurant in the google review and they seem to be very proud of what they serve. We quite enjoyed their delicacies, although the beef flank soup was a bit salty and left me a sense of instant flavor. I usually order the same soup whenever I visit a new Korean place for comparison. I can definitely say it is beyond average but hard to agree with their claim. Their braised short ribs are 1.99 thumbs up. One may see the price tags are a bit excessive, but the vicinity is full of expensive places so I believe it is still within reasonable range.
In summary, this place is worth a try.
No further visits would be necessary for me.
Excellent Korean food with good customer service. Convenient location, with metered municipal parking. Free Sunday parking and weeknights after 6pm. The bbq is good. Price is average. Spent about $30 per person for a group of five, 3 adults and two kids.
