They are the worst! I took my daughter in for two goodess braids and it looked terrible when I came back to get her! They used black gel, her hair was coming out of the braids, I mean it was just awful! I do not recommend any braiding salon in the city of Petersburg at all!! Go to Richmond. I wouldn't even give them 1 star!
I set an appointment at 2:00 for two feed-in braids. When I arrived, there were four people already waiting. Even though I had an appointment, she started working on someone’s hair before mine. The girl got individual braids and I only wanted two feed in braids. I waited for almost three hours then I just left. Unbelievable and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Very disappointed.
Got my hair braided here twice. The first experience was a really good one and the second one was horrible. The first time I had no complaints. I got small Senegalese twists and they were exactly what I expected. The second time Yaya booked an appt for me but had someone else in the shop when I got there and she was not expecting me. The roots of my braids were really bulky and hard to maneuver. She also used entirely too much JAM for my soft hair texture. When I took the braids out my hair was so matted and fell out in clumps. Will not be visiting again.
I got my hair done last Friday and it's exactly 7 days later and I have to take it out because of the quality of my braids. I paid $70 four big feed-in braids and 3 smaller ones. The first day it was Flawless. I had no complaints everyone loved it including me but honestly I believe the packed my hair with gel so that it will look good at the moment but once the hel wears off your hair looks hideous.
I just PCS here and found this place online, I will not be returning here again due to the fact I was told the process was going to take 4hrs but I knew it was going to take a little longer than that, but that’s not the issue I’m having. The issue I have is the lady that started on my hair was twisting instead of braiding the hair in and it was so painful. The next lady that braided my hair just seem not to care after she knew that she was hurting my head. She part my hair with a clip instead of using a comb, she grab my hair! Not only that there were lots of tugging and pulling and I’m not tender headed at all and this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with getting Senegalese done. After she was done and time for dipping in very hot water she dipped all the braids at one time instead of section????????‍♀️ I’m sorry this may seem like I’m complaining but I’m not, maybe other had better service but if I’m paying you $200 please have some respect for my hair and feelings it doesn’t matter how much one is paying if we are supporting your business! Only good thing is my Senegalese turned out great???? And this is why I give them 2stars????????‍♀️
Took my daughter to get Senegal twist charged me $190.00 within 3days the whole back came out she replaced them and not even two days even more came out me and my daughter where. Protect braiding styles and twist all the time if you don’t know how to do a style you should just say that .then she kept asking did she wash her hair trying to Signify that that’s why the braids came out .worse place ever won’t be going back
My teenage daughter & I have made this our “Go To” Braid ship! Over time we are like family, it’s relaxing & they take time to ensure we are satisfied. Often they have called in extra staff when it gets busy. Prices are reasonable. With many shops to choose from in the area; this is our selection & we are satisfied regular (happy) customers!
Went in twice both times they were an hour late after telling me to come on in as if they will be there waiting! Then if you get up to leave the person who is there will come after you. Not to mention after she came in an hour late she took my braids out to say I’m going to eat then get back to you! Then the prices was a mix up because it wasn’t clear. I heard $20 not $20 a row I should of just got my whole head redone! It would of been nice to speak to me instead of in their native language to each other! After asking for the one row in the back to be done my total was more than expected! Anywho once they are there and braiding the braids look nice and neat! However, their prices are on the high side and I asked for kinky and got Senegalese but I’m not mad at that!
