Yankee Kitchen is awesome!! Probably one of the best burgers you'll have for a great value. Burger and fries for under ten bucks and this thing was huge. They have a great selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and won't break the pocket book. So if you're looking for down home cooking type of meals and great service, then this is the place to stop
This is a cash-only establishment to the one review saying "there's no sign saying cash only" there are signs everywhere there before you even walk in. It is the same sign that's been there for 10 plus years.
Large eatery popular with the Sunday breakfast set. 30+ table and counter. Huge crowd with line but we were seated in 5 min. Large menu. I ordered a skillet b'fast and it was HUGE. But more importantly it tasted good. Wait service was good. $30 for 3 b'fasts is a bit much but with the great taste and huge portions, I was ok with the price. Noise levels better than I expected. Large parking lot. Easy access. This place is a keeper. UPDATE 11/23: Stopped in for a quick dinner on a busy Sunday. No wait. Friendly service. Had a chicken wrap with fries and a chili burger with onion rings. Food was great. A little pricey but worth it.
My husband had the country skillet, it was huge! He brought it home and ate it two more times. It has jalapenos, my husband said there were too many. Our daughter gets it without the jalapenos. I had a vegetarian omelet. I brought half home. The coffee is free with breakfasts! Good food and it is popular. It is noisy in there with everybody talking.
My husband and I stopped here for dinner, the service from the young lady was awesome and the food was out of this world. The cook that was cooking I was told had only been working for 2 months, I told our waitress to tell him he did a fantastic job. For sure will be going back again.
The Yankee is, with no exception, the best homemade diner food in the area. It's also the best value for your dollar. No chain restaurant can hold a candle to their quality. If you arrive during rush hour, expect to wait for a table.
The food was great! I got a Buffalo fried chicken wrap and my fiance got a chili burger that looks SO GOOD! The waitress wasn't very interactive and slow so I wasn't impressed with her at all. She didn't seem to care to come check on us until it was time for a box and to pay and leave. The kitchen staff did a great job! I used to work in a kitchen for 4 years and the head cook and the other chefs communication was great and very on point. I hope they pay there chefs really well for all the hard work they do!
Solid, large well cooked breakfast. I think it was the first time I didn't consume my entire breakfast. And breakfast is my meal of the day. Cash only establishment. Under 10$ for a spinach, feta omelette, with toast, and a coffee. Clearly a locals place. Stop and sit a spell.
Food was good except husbands eggs not cooked as ordered. Mine tasted greasy. However, I've been eating "clean," so that might have been why. Not used to eating greasy foods. I've eaten there before and not had this problem. Would recomend.
