Stopped here today for the first time after a dr.'s appointment to check it out for the family (we love family owned diners). My everything Omelet and home fries, were amazing and huge portions. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Had to take half my breakfast home. Can't wait to come back with the rest of the family. Heads up, it is cash only. Wasn't a big deal for me but something to be aware of for those who don't carry it. They do have an atm when you first walk in if you need it.
The food is always excellent at Yankee kitchens restaurants. I had the veggie omelette since I'm on a Mediterranean diet right now and it was tasty.
The ladies that waited on us very courteous respectful, and were at our beck and call which I really enjoyed and gave them a generous tip.
This was a good little place to eat.
It's an old-school style place, no bells and such.
They give you a ton of potatoes if your dish has it, the Steak was not the best cut, but it was tender, and that's half the battle with me,
I forgot to ask that they finish my steak with sauce before they take it off the flat top.
My biggest problem is I asked for my eggs " VERY Soft " Run-ie"
Yeah, Naw.. I received Between Medium and Hard fried.
The waitress was not mean or anything, but her customer service skills were a bit short today , so I did not return them.
When she asked
" You need anything???"
Yeah, she did that standing behind the counter like she was going to pick up another plate while we were sitting at the table right by the front door, HUMMMMMMM!!!!
The food - large portions and still perfect after all these years! I’m in my 50s and have been coming here since I was a teenager and the 80s music overhead still tops it off! Kinda dinerish-dive and yet the best breakfasts in town! Hands down.
I love this restaurant, I've been going there for years. I just went to their other location out on Rt.193 (Belmont Avenue) fir the first time in 20 yrs and their equally great. But the Market St location is my favorite restaurant in the Youngstown area. I almost always get their Country Fried Steak but when I went yesterday I ordered their Corn Beef Reuben Omelet, I never heard of such a thing either and I thought it sounded a little weird so I ordered it lol, I've gotta tell you that this concoction was amazing, who would have thought lol, I definitely recommend it. This restaurant is managed great by the owner who's a very nice guy, he talks to his customers and wants everyone to be happy with their experience there, they keep the restaurant sparkling clean and the servers a very friendly, yesterday our server was a young man who went over and beyond, I believe he mentioned that he was either the owners nephew or son, I cant remember (that happens once you hit 50 yrs old lol), anyhow he was extremely polite and friendly, you couldn't find a better server then he was. I just want to thank everyone at the Yankee Kitchen for pulling together and making such a great place for everyone to come and enjoy a fantastic meal. Thank you.
Good food with that family diner experience. Once you try it you'll go back.

The food was amazing. The portions are a good size.The waitress I think her name was Misty was the best. I will definitely be back
I absolutely love this place. They always have such great service, the ladies are wonderful. They have such great variety and does not miss a beat. Their burgers are my favorite!! Always home made and fresh!
