My first experience here was a very pleasing one! The staff were quick and friendly! The food was delicious, and the portions are worth the cost! Will definitely be back. Oh, did I mention free dessert? ❤️

Avocado salad was not worth the money, I'd definitely skip that and the soft shell crab appetizer.
The hibachi chicken and hibachi steak were delicious. That will make us come back.
I regret not having taken pictures. I think I was just in shock the whole time. First of all, there are boxes all over the entrance, the hostess station, the waitress station, and all over the dining area. But that isn't the worst part. There were about 6 customers in the dining room... And it took an hour for four rolls. An HOUR. The food was tasteless, the "spicy salmon" and the "spicy tuna" were the same cooked mystery meat. My wife's two rolls were equally disgusting and tasteless. The serving portion was tiny, yet their prices rival (or exceed) two ACTUAL sushi joints in town, Noa Noa and Cerulean, but this place isn't even close to being on par with them. I'm amazed that this Chinese restaurant (masquerading as a "Japanese" restaurant) has as high of a score as it has... Perhaps it had some glory days behind it, or perhaps they hired a bot to post a bunch of glowing reviews to drown the real reviews out. Either way, it doesn't deserve a single positive review. Would give it zero stars if I could... But this just shows how broken the rating system is here on Google.

Yamato is a great place to go eat and relax with friends. I love the out-of-control roll and Philly roll as well as the shrimp fried rice with tons of yum yum sauce. totally recommend
I'm never disappointed when I eat here. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and efficient.
This place doesn’t look like a restaurant from the outside so I almost didn’t go in. Food was just ok. I think my experience wouldn’t have felt as awkward if they had music playing. It was silent in there. Server was kind.
