Best WLM Reviews

It is pretty obvious that Yamato's best days are long past. The building looks derelict and abandoned from the street. The highly advertised outdoor area is rotten and collapsing.
The interior has the requisite grill table. Our server was friendly as was the cook. A big draw of these restraunts is the cook's showmanship and there was none. He cooked and that was it. I ordered an ice tea and the first sip tasted like soap. When I told the waitress she wasn't surprised so I am guessing she heard it before. She offered some explanation that involved the dishwashers not rins>ng properly.
The soup and salad were nothing special. Utensils were a well worn fork and spoon. No chopsticks. The entree serving size was generous. But the prices were astronomical for what they delivered.
But at the end of the meal I was happy to leave. This place needs to have a humane end for its sake and the public's.
The salad was not bad, but it was drowned in the dressing. The miso soup it needs a little more seasoning. The hibachi was really good, but the smell in the restaurant and look needs a refresher. The food was good, so I do recommend it, but I will it seems to be higher in price compared to other Hitachi restaurants.
Food's great, service is great- the prices are a bit wild, though
Meh, I should have turned around when the wife said, "Is this place even open?" While pulling in the parking lot. Basic almost plain flavor no spice, even asked and was told we don't have any spices, fried rice looked already cooked, soup laughable and salad drowning in dressing $65 for 2 and that's the lower end of the menu so It's your choice now but definitely never again for me
It definitely was a poor experience right away. The smell, the sticky floors and the food was extremely over priced. I did like our server but didn't stay to even order unfortunately.
Grandkids, daughter, and son-on-law went on a Saturday evening for my granddaughter's birthday. This was the first time for the grandkids at a hibachi restaurant, and they enjoyed the watching the chef, but the chef only did 2 or 3 tricks ... I have seen many more at other hibachi restaurants. The food was terrible ... very bland, too salty, the filet was all fat, and the fish was not cooked. For this the prices are way too high ... not worth the money.
I DO NOT recommend this overpriced, poor food quality hibachi restaurant.
We just went there tonight & it was meh.
I assumed they had kids drink prices because she told me at the moment they were out of kids cups so she gave us 2 adult cups and filled them half way with a lid on it & charged us $9 for 2 cups that weren’t even close to full. The cook cooked us our food and put a good amount of food in leftover boxes… assuming they were gonna give us the to go boxes full off food, NOPE, she took them to the back. We paid $89 for 2 meals & 1 kids meal. We gave a $20 tip so it came out to $109. Which is absolutely ridiculous because the portions were small on the plate compared to what they put in the to-go boxes. The outside looks so run down & the inside needed some TLC.
(If you aren’t eating but sitting at the table they do charge you & if you are splitting a plate including little kids splitting expect to be charged) food was okay, extremely overpriced & will not be going back. If they were gonna charge because a cook cooks in front of you the least they can do is get chefs to actually do something cool while cooking.
After 20+ years, NEVER AGAIN. Long time customer, greeted rudely, place is filthy, prices are high, $4.50 for a Coke, portions skimpy, not all but several employees, rude. Used to love and enjoy, WILL NEVER RETURN.
