Tried this place because hubby and I were craving sushi and ramen. Service was great but food quality is really low. The Cali roll’s imitation crab tasted old. The IE roll’s sauce was too sweet. Ramen’s chasu pork seems to have a red color on the edge of the meat. The soy sauce is diluted and watery. I guess this is what’s considered good sushi in this area. ????????♀️
First time visiting. Went with friends and we all had different things. I like cooked sushi and I got the oh my daddy roll which was yummy. I also had their boba but I was very disappointed because they do not use the black tapioca. You have to go up to the cashier register to order and pay for your food & they will bring your order to your table. I will return and I recommend.
????Delicious food, friendly service, fair price for great portion! We ordered combination poke bowl ($17.95) and shoyu chashu ramen with extra noodles ($13.95+$2.5). Highly recommend ramen and poke bowl! I mean I recommend you try everything here????And I promise you won’t regret ????
Didn't realize we had sushi in 29! Accidentally walked into the place next door & almost left when we realized we were at the wrong restaurant! Thank goodness I double checked. Went to have some sushi for our anniversary. It's a casual place, but has a really charming vibe. You can tell they treat their workers well, which showed in how kind our "server", Alex was. Alex was great & deserves all the tips, so if you go in, be sure to do it well! Food was pricey, but I'll pay for sushi in the desert. It was fresh & tasty. Alex recommended the butterfly drinks & I'm glad she did. Light & refreshing. We had a great time & will be back. Husband's only complaint was being served in to-go containers, but I actually didn't mind, made it easier if I had leftovers. Thank you so much!
Spent hundreds of hours and dollars here eating sushi and drinking sake with the schoolhouse guys. Great food, great staff, loved Yamahana sushi, it was the silver lining of 29 palms. 10/10
It's sushi in the desert, I don't know what I was thinking. Let's start with the positives: the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the portions were large. The food itself is not great. I got a red dragon roll which is supposed to be wrapped in spicy tuna which has a very strange texture. I would believe it if the menu said roe but I would still be questioning. The salmon on the outside of the oh my daddy roll also does not seem very fresh. I wouldn't not order again, but there are many other options that aren't sushi in the desert.
Portion is big! The roll is good. The price is reasonable where you can find such a great food in a super outskirts location. The only thing that I would comment is the Katsu, the pork is not fresh where you can taste a very strong pork smell if you are very particular with it.
We did a phone order for take out. The staff were friendly and handled our large order with ease! Went to pickup the order and it was ready on time despite the fact that they were busy. They held our cold items in a fridge and hot items in the kitchen until we arrived. That's amazing!! We will make them our go-to local spot from now on.
