I absolutely love Yama! I came to get box braids on April 9th at 10:00am She got me in the chair as soon as I walked in the door ???? it was my very first time in her shop! She was so nice and helpful she even gave me advice on my box braids saying if I got them to thin they will not last as long as thicker box braids and she was quick and fast with braiding she didn't have me in the chair for a long time like other braiding salons do! Yama was finished with my box braids in two and a half hours and I was so happy with her work it came out beautifully and I can't wait to come back for my next set of box braids! Thank you Yama for your wonderful and fast hair braiding service ????
My braids were horrible!! It was braided so tight that the briads was not straight. You make an appointment with Yama, but who ever is available does your hair!!
I will NEVER spend money with Yama again. I would give a zero if I could.
drove an hour down just for 6 chairs to be filled with three people in line. was not impressed and will not be returning
I love Yama shop but Saturday 06/24/2023 I had a appointment for 9:00 arrived at 8:30 an I didn't leave until 8:00pm.... The workers went an ate twice while I was there everybody ate together... We're I hadn't ate all day love my hair... But was unexpected that it took my hold day an I missed my sister's dinner party which started at 6:30pm please do better an don't over book your people
I got my hair done by the girls at Yama’s shop three times (box braids, touch up, & knotless) and never left unsatisfied. I’m currently expecting and while getting my hair done they offered me food and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! My braids took less than 6 hours and I didn’t have to wait long to get in the chair. Employees was very professional, stayed making sure I was ok and that they wasn’t pulling my hair too hard. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the first time I paid $200 and the length of my hair was past my butt .. (very long, I loved it) and I also payed $200 this time but the length was at my back. Overall great customer service, braids are very neat. And if you don’t want your head hurting and your braids super tight, just get the knotless braids. Thank you yama!
1st I would like to say the lady that did my hair did an amazing job my hair is super short and she braided it so good....But their is 1 lady in there her attitude was not professional at all if you didnt have long hair she was saying it was to short to get braided also the prices that the lady quotes on the phone is different from what they try to charge when you go there

Good work but very rude. The attitude from the owner and employees was extremely off putting. Being polite to customers should be a priority but not at Yama’s shop! Hospitality gets two thumbs down from me and I WILL NOT be going back.
