You get what you pay for. At $4.00 for a simple cut, I thought it would be the ideal place to go to save a few bucks. But over time, my cuts were becoming increasingly inconsistent even after telling the stylist how I wanted it cut. Sideburns uneven. Taper not flowing. You don't get to pick who cuts your hair, so it's pretty much a gamble from one visit to the next. My last cut was over 6 months ago, and I haven't been back.
I have been going here for years. I first tried the less expensive (cheaper) barbarer in College Green. The cheaper one gave terrible hair cuts. I should have known with the pictures of the three stooges! (Would you like to look like Larry, Moe or Shemp? Perhaps you would want a Curly Joe buzz-cut?) Y & J gives good haircuts, though their prices have increased after the pandemic. I can not say anything about their perms or dye jobs though...I have not had those services...
I came here twice. One was to bleach my hair, which the stylist did bad job. I had to go to a different salon to fix my hair. Then, I came here again to get a haircut and she kept trying to talked to me out of getting something else than what i wanted. While she was cutting my hair she just cut it randomly and looked crooked it. I did not liked it at all. She didn't even blow dry my hair and loose hair kept flying away. The job felt rushed and not detailed at all. This is the last time I come here.
One of the staff member was mean and rude when I requested her to fix my hair when she was done. She was disrespectful and start talking in her own language. God knows what bad things she said to me.
I hope the management sees this complain and be more professional with customers.
been there a multiple times never get the correct haircut that i ask for on my son these last and final last chance i gave my son taper looks like a W not happy at all never going back
Only $7 for my sons cute little cut, staff is great and was so patient with my 2 year old and made the experience enjoyable.
Nice quiet shop, I always get the haircut I ask for. The employees seem nice as well.
Friendly service with very decent price. Just had slight price increase since 6/1/2018. But still pretty much among the lowest prices around.
