The prices are affordable but you truly get what you pay for. If you don’t care for professionalism or perfectly executed hairstyles then come here. I got my hair done here 2 years ago. At the time I was so grateful to have a new style that I overlooked how much hair was on my scalp. I didn’t realize it was actually suffocating it. As you can see I got crochet passion twists. I wanted them to look full and somewhat natural but the amount of twists on my head was excessive. As I was getting the style, the stylist continued to ask me to go to the hair store nearby to buy more hair. I understand I have a dense hair shaft but the price should’ve been set and I found that to be very strange request. To avoid this, she shouldn’t have braided my hair in a pattern that required her to put massive amount of twists on my head to cover up the braids underneath. That hairstyle was so heavy and uncomfortable.
Again, this time around I needed to get my hair done for something coming up. I figured I could try a much simpler style to avoid the fate I had before. I called the shop and the lady who answered the phone didn’t even ask for my name or number to write it down as she should. I was scheduled to come in this Saturday in the afternoon. And guess what? I walked into the shop to find her missing. The stylist did a no-call no-show and gave me 3 different excuses as to why she wasn’t available. A complete waste of time.
I loved the environment the owner was super nice, but I made an appointment for 12 and when I got there the girl wasn't even half way done with her other customer, I went there to get a sew in and she spent 6 hours doing something that could've been done in an hour in a half, even though I have a lot of hair that does not mean you could charge me for the braids and plus the braid are too tight and the sew in it's not well done, not a good experience for me sorry one ⭐
I stopped in this salon, and asked them about getting my hair in a certain kind of cornrows. The lady on the right said that she could do my hair, I asked her would need my hair blowed out first. Okay no problem, and was told to come back in three days. So explained to her that my hair is long, and thick. So said okay, then showed me all the different hair styles she had done; I guess to ensure me that she was able to do my hair. I showed up took out my hair, and this lady waled past me twice as if she didnt know I was there. Then her manager came out and said somethimg came up. Now was that before i got there or after. Because she seem to be in a ery happy mood when i was there. Then asked if I could come back another day. This is what the manager asked me. The manager asked me to send her the hairstyle that I wanted, and she would call me back. Well she never called. Now if im paying you 180.00 for doing my hair, and you know you cant handle my kind of hair. I would respect that more then acting like she didnt even see me sitting there. I should of checked the reviews before going. I would never tell anyone to go there. But the lady that was doing the box braids was very nice. The manager, and the lady that on the right side in the last chair, thats a NO for me.
First and foremost! Phenomenal braiding experience. Desi? was nice, courteous, professional and fast but a highly skilled braided. All of braids are uniform in size and braiding pattern.
I was late for appointment and she still took me. Gave me a good thorough was and started braiding. No waiting.
The place is part salon, part jbatber shop so it's not all women, but I liked the vibe. It's a neighborhood spot so it was a mix of adults and children.
THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. I walked in and asked if there was someone that could cut a child’s hair. She pointed to a man. I asked well how long of a wait do you think it is. She said she doesn’t know. I said okay. I went next door and came back after 20 minutes. Came in and the guy was gone. I asked twice if he’ll be back and they acted like they couldn’t hear me. Maybe because I was a black woman ? Yes, a black woman that makes 100k a year and decided to give a local business a chance in this community. Now I see why they don’t strive. Lack of customer service.
Kim gave me a wonderful wash, conditioning and a great new style. Salon was neat and clean with friendly staff and customers
The workers are nice and they take their time to make sure that you are satisfies with your hair style.
Don't take your son's here for a hair cut unless you want the barber to whisper profanities for not sitting still, because that's what happened for my 5 year old there before school started!
