First off let me say I understand they had a family emergency, that being said my truck sat in there parking lot for 33 days after being insured a couple times they were going to remove the supercharger, yet never did. My other issue is communication is near impossible and when I took it in originally the pulley on the supercharger spun freely and now after picking it up and taking it somewhere else it doesn't spin at all and now leaks oil, so clearly someone attempted something, when I text and ask if they did something, no response. I wouldn't take my vehicle in there even for an oil change. Sent supercharger to whipple manufacturer who confirmed case was more than likely cracked when pulley was torque down to tight, although I can't prove it was xcessive , as I said earlier in my review it spun freely and I picked it up and it was seized.

This review is long LONG overdue but what's one year late right? In sept 2020 my van broke down in the middle of a cross country road trip-literally worst case scenario I blew a head gasket-needed whole engine replaced. I had brought the van into Xcessive and was quickly thankful I did. Tony and the shop went above and beyond for me during the time my vehicle was in their shop. I'm a solo female traveler so I'm always concerned I'm getting ripped off or not taken seriously when it comes to auto repair. Tony involved me in each step of the repair process, talking in depth with me about my options and what he would recommend. Whenever I stopped by to check in on repairs, they would take me to see every individual thing they were working on, making sure I had all the pictures and knowledge I needed to feel confident in their repairs. Every other place in town told me it would be weeks and weeks before I could be on the road again, but Tony and his team did everything they could to get me up and running ASAP. On my first day with the new engine, I had a coolant hose break 2 hours from San Angelo-Tony sent someone to drive out to me to repair the hose right then and there in the middle of nowhere. Who does that?? I literally cannot speak highly enough of Xcessive Auto Repair. Best prices and service not only in the area but in the country. They've ruined all future shop experiences for me because no one I've encountered thus far has come even close to the level of service and expertise I was given at Xcessive.
Spent over $2000 on a catalytic converter replacement. I was told 3 different times my car was fixed and safe to drive. First time they “fixed” my car it broke down and I crashed into a bush. 2nd time it turned off on the loop. Third time it turned off getting on the loop. 2 near crash experiences on the loop and over $2000 spent for a still broken car. After taking it to Kia they found the real problem witch was engine sludge. I would have expected them to check that since the engine light was on.
I only deal with places where I trust the people and this is certainly a place that establishes trust with their customers. I am fortunate to also call Tony a friend but I appreciate his honesty and knowledge in this industry. He is definitely an expert and someone who will make sure the job gets done right. I have trusted him with all my cars and thousands of dollars later this is still my shop of choice!

Super knowledgable, affordable, quick and accommodating.
Guys here were SO nice. Tried their hardest to even identify the problem over the phone cause I was in a jam. That doesn't happen much. And they actually did identify if from symptoms i described because they really knows their craft. I was in a rush to keep moving and they did a very quick job of it and charged less than other places quoted.

Xcessive has always been my go to performance and general repair shop since 2004. I have had nothing but honest and quality work from there. Tony will not steer you in any direction you do not want to go. Prices are more than fair and he will do his research to make sure you are getting exactly what you need or ask for. I have had multiple vehicles modified and repaired in his shop and Xcessive has always come through. As for being run down and dirty....it's a mechanics shop if it was spotless that would make me worried. If you want the best local affordable performance shop look no further.
