Great atmosphere and staff, CASH ONLY! Had read they had the best burgers in all of Indiana so tied their giant double cheeseburger with fries. Definitely one of the most thinly smashed burgers I've had and it was very good! Classic diner vibes and all the greasy goodness you'd expect.
Was in town for a basketball tournament and on our way to downtown gave this place a try. In a ruff part of town but no problems I must've missed the no under 21 allowed....I was with my son whose 14 went in to see what happens and the asked if he was of age said no I'm sorry but didn't see in other posts. They said this time only and was relieved told them eat and run ..had the staples double burgers with cheese fries and onion rings and a big big bud light and was delicious as most posts say. CASH ONLY!! Service was good place was jumping and nostalgic. There were kids at another table but I guess they were regulars.
First time in. Had to get the cheeseburger and fries based on FB recommendations. Did not disappoint. Sat at the bar. Cheeseburger was cooked well. Got fries that were very good. My neighbor's onion rings looked pretty good too. Nothing fancy. Just good food.
What a fantastic old working man's hangout. You could tell time stood still. Just what you would expect, the service was exceptional, food was nothing fancy, but good. Good drinks. Beer served in a large Margarita glass. All in all, try it, a down to earth place.
I was a little nervous when I walked in, but everyone was super nice. Our food came out fast and was delicious. They have one of the double cheeseburgers around. Also, the owner greeted us when we left whic, was a nice touch. Definitely a 10/10.
Nice place to have some good burgers! I ordered their popular double cheeseburger and fries that tasted really good. I also added grilled chicken to my order though the chicken was not as tasty as their burger. The staff there are really friendly. The place was all packed and lively. Will definitely go there again!
Finally tried the award winning burgers at Working Man's Friend, and I wasn't disappointed. Great char flavor on a smash burger style thin patty. Fries were nice and crispy. Menu is limited. Service was good. Facility is definitely rundown. Cash only! Will I be back? Definitely. I want to try the tenderloin next time.
Bring your cash, they’d don’t take cards. The menu is brief but delicious. The burgers are fried to perfection. The place is always packed and it looks like it could fall down around you but it never disappoints. Parking is at a premium so be courteous when you claim your spot. The parking lot is not paved or marked.
