We know that Santa Maria is the birthplace of Tri-Tip so we wanted to try their tri-tip sandwich and it was delicious!!
We got it to go and they gave us BBQ sauce to dip it in and it was an amazing combo!! The meat was tender enough and tasted so good mixed with the BBQ sauce. The bread was toasted perfectly and very buttery :0)
Would come back here! They also had cute decor and a clean bathroom.
My wife and I bought 2 sandwiches and we loved it. Seems like any sandwich you get is going to be good. They are also a meat market so give them at look see.
We just went and bought a sample platter of meats. We are having the kids over for taste test. Such a great place. The owner has such great knowledge of the meats. If you dont know something just go ask, he can tell you best ways to cook these awesome cuts of meat. Not your grocery store tri tip, these are special cuts that dont need to be doctored up. Go in and get educated on different styles and cuts. Thank you, fun time at Woodys Butcher Shop.
If you want high quality meat...this is the place. We bought a 1/2 a Turkey Breast for Christmas Dinner it was moist and flavor full. Our whole family was very impressed. We have bought Tri-tip and ham from here in the past and as always they have the highest quality of meats in town.
Tri-tip sandwich! SO good w/ the bbq sauce! Friendly service, lots of cheese, meat, sauce options to take home and cook up later.
This past weekend I went to try Woody's food, Tri Tip sandwich is off the hook!! Got to meet the man himself he sat at the table we had a very nice talk about BBQ and his process .... Great Great shop and the staff takes a page right from Woody!! I like it so much I came back the next day for some meats, pickles, sauces and Jerky... The Jerky is honestly the best I have ever had hands down! Thanks your making us feel so welcome!!! Highly Recommend if you driving through or staying in Santa Maria stop in and enjoy.
We were craving a good, quick bbq sandwich and we’re not disappointed! Good quality meats with amazing flavor. Next time will buy some meat from the butcher to bbq at home - quality looked top notch! Friendly service topped it off! To be clear, it’s a butcher/deli with sandwiches and a few tables if you choose to eat there.
Good food and warm people that work here. The Shop had clean aesthetics with red hardwood floor and a big rug in the center. When I ordered, my Roast Turkey and Jack Sandwich the young man with vilitigo told me that sandwich works best with our sourdough. He was spot on. Would recommend.
Overall great sandwich place - M.taño
Stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. Ordered the tri tip and turkey sandwich both of which were excellent! Also walked out with some beef jerky and seasoning. The staff was very friendly, totally worth the stop if you are venturing through Santa Maria!
