I KNEW BETTER !!!
Figured i would give this woodys a try since i have not eaten here in 20 plus years. Because it was so bad. Well some things never change.
Bbq chicken was horrible. Dry doesn’t really describe it. Chalk is a better description. No rub no seasoning no smoke. Tasted like it was baked about an hour too long. Skin was like leather. Fries were hot. No bread. Service was typical meth head with an attitude because I walked to the window. Lunch time and only one other customer. Stay far away from this place.
Got the sampler to try a bit of all. Got 2 slices of dry brisket, 2 tough ribs, dry pork. Turkey and sausage were ok. What I mentioned it to our service she said it's okay you got to get a little tough with it I said absolutely not and she didn't even attempt to make it right so this is a place I will not be going back to
I went there to pick up some BBQ to take to work the next day. I had to explain 3 times the I wanted just meet in a cup instead of a plate. I also wanted shredded bbq I got sliced instead. It tasted ok but the meat definitely wasn't smoked. The whole crew including the manager are idiots. At least the cashier was new and had a reason.
That was the worst experience I've ever had and I really should have walked out. I wouldn't recommend that place to anybody, and I usually don't give bad reviews. That is saying a lot!
This place isn't a good place to eat. I got a Turkey salad. It was the size of a house salad and half the lettuce was the hard white part that no one eats. The cucumbers had been frozen. I called back and the employee told me that I could come replace it. But not wasting my time asked to speak to a manager she replied that she wouldn't be in until Monday. That was on Sat. Emailed corporate and let them know what happened and still haven't heard anything from them either. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

This is not a 1 time review. I have unfortunately been back to this establishment 3 times now. Its less than 1 mile from my house so its an easy walk for dinner/lunch. I have lived in my house for 5 years and I keep making the same mistake of forgetting how awful the food was and I go back ( usually after about a year or so of waiting to see if it will improve)
The place was absolutely dead at what should have been peak dinner hours. I went around 6:30pm. There wasn't a single person eating. There were 3 or 4 staff members who all appeared to shocked that someone walked through the door... not a good sign.
I've seen enough " bar rescue/ kitchen nightmares" type shows to know what happens to food when nobody attends a place. The food gets frozen so it doesn't get wasted. And then it sits in the freezer until it runs out or gets forgotten about and turns into sludge. Well for good BBQ this is the kiss of death for taste and quality. You simply cannot have good BBQ that is from the freezer, and this place has NO OPTIONS to make fresh or smoked meats because it would not be eaten ( because nobody goes here). There is 100% no chance that you will receive a quality meal if you order anything that would require a longer cooking time... like the majority of BBQ meats... so basically this place needs to be shut down by the health department.
Let me describe the " most popular" sandwich I had.
- Bun was so stale that the staff had to throw it in the oven to hide the stiffness of the bread by pretending it comes on a toasted bun ( which it does not). It was cardboard.
- Meat ( which I think started as pulled pork) resembled and smelt like dog food. It had clearly been made 1-2 weeks ago and was frozen in a huge tub, scooped out and reheated. After 3 bites I decided that I'd rather go hungry than risk getting sick from 2 week old pork. It was beyond gross.
- Fries were actually ok. No complaints, but frozen fries in the deep fryer are hard to screw up.
I eat a lot of BBQ. This place is a 0. A hard ZERO STARS. There are no redeeming qualities about anything at Woody's whatsoever. I've had it 3 times now and its just plain awful food.
Again - please go out of business so another restaurant can buy this location and I can have a better option.
The meal was ok, but overly expensive for what it was. And hey, if you have a ridiculously high upcharge for a replacement option, I should receive more than a nominal amount of it. This is neither Disney World nor Celticfest, I should get more than 5 onion rings if I sacrifice $1.69 and a basket of fries. Also, the menu should've told me, the waitress shouldn't have been the only way this was sprung on me. I know there are people who enjoy paying high prices for mediocre food, but we're not among them.
Wings were ok, had ordered hot but they were sweet and had zero spice. Everything else :( Ordered the half chicken with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and bbq beans. It was ALL horrible . The chicken was flavorless and dry, mashed potatoes were bland, pretty sure not homemade, cole slaw was complete trash and the beans were from a can. Whatever hot bbq sauce they had on table tasted like straight up ketchup. Save your money and just keep it moving.
I am writing this review because it seems to me that between this restaurant and the corporate office they just don't care. We have left a review and now wrote two different emails about our experience and have heard absolutely nothing back. I do not recommend this place the food is awful and the employees are not professional at all. Go somewhere else for BBQ.
