Best WLM Reviews

Delicious breakfast menu, generous portions and excellent service. Our waitress Kassie was lovely and attentive and funny. The funny farm sandwich is A+
Food was good. Fried chicken was very juicy and tender. Cajun Red Bean soup was the best item of the meal. Very loud overall and waited a bit for refills and such.
I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was amazing...hubby got the catfish and loved it...service was great and the restroom was clean.
My first time here and it won’t be the last. Food exceptional I ordered the shrimp ???? n grits… yummy ????. Desert the banana ???? pudding it was very good as well. Ordered a few drinks Russian Quaalude…..???? Paul was my waiter thank you Paul he really delivered and he knows his stuff! Let me say the establishment is very clean bathrooms too. Wait I’m not done ???? the menu will suit every diet. No1 is left out???????? walk in waddle out????
My first visit (surprising since I am a native). Had the Philly Steak with Tater Tots. Delicious. This also was the case for the other dishes at our table. Service was friendly and familiar. Servings are ample if you are a light eater; you will need a box. We will definitely go back.
Have been going to Winchell’s for years. By far our favorite place to eat in Lexington which has some great options. Winchell’s just hits different. Cheer’s vibe with the best comfort food you can find anywhere. I feel like I had to have reviewed before but looks like I haven’t or google is allowing another review. Think I’ve had most everything on the menu but there are a few that stand out.
The Pork Cutlets country fried with gravy are amazing. Hot Brown is as good as I have had anywhere. Love the shrimp and grits. Fried chicken dinner when you need that feel good meal. Open face brisket is great as are many of the specials they run.
The Funny Farm is an absolute gem. Loaded up with Fried Pork Chop, bacon, country ham. It’s a meal. The Reuben is great but the Winchell’s Brothers sandwich takes the corned beef to the next level. You won’t be disappointed with any of the sandwiches but these are the best.
The “Hot” wings are great but you gotta be prepared for the heat. They’ve discontinued some of my favorite apps but the Nachos are top notch. Can’t beat the Quesadillas. Chicken Fingers are amazing.
Hard to beat the service as well. Have to mention Kassie. Ask for her. She’s wonderful.
This place is well worth a visit. Our server, Debbie, was very personable and took great care of us. The sandwiches were tasty and the pork chops were tender and delicious. Mikey's recommendation: Eat here!
Overall it was okay. The waitress was lovely and food came quickly to the table. The food leaves much to be desired. Beer cheese came ice cold which I know is personal preference but I choose it to be hot. Cold is gross, and served with veg and packets of crackers that you can’t scoop the cheese with, it’s too stiff when cold. It should be served warm with breads and veg. The shrimp plate I hear was decent but each piece of shrimp had to be placed into a napkin and squeezed of the oil. I had the pulled pork that was decent l, it was juicy, the sauce wasn’t the best. Mac and cheese was horribly gritty in texture, the slaw was good and creamy. Lastly, the smell in this place was a mess. It had a strong sewer smell. Friends say that happens in some places after the rain but I don’t believe that’s a good enough, that smell was offensive. Overall it was okay, probably won’t be back.
