Wildfire is absolutely fabulous. Took my wife there to celebrate her for Mother's Day. The food and the drinks were really good.
We both had the baby back ribs and chicken combo. You get a half chicken and "3/4" of a full rack of ribs. The chicken had great flavor along with the ribs, which were very tender. The meal comes with applesauce and coleslaw. I got to choose one side, so i chose the au gratin potatoes and purchased the mac-n-cheese, which wasn't what I hoped it would be. For the appetizers, we had shrimp cocktail and bacon wrapped scallops, which were amazing. We couldn't find room for dessert.
To drink, we had the martini flights. Now, I am not a vodka person, but all 4 flights were very good.
The service was great. We were able to be seated a little early, which was good because of our additional plans.
I do recommend Wildfire for any special occasion or just a great meal.
Make a reservation and your table will be there when you get there. While a bit pricey, the food is excellent. We had Crab cakes as appetizer and I had the Braised Short Rib special. The meat flaked apart as I put a fork into it. The veggies and mashed potatoes were also excellent.
It was a busy Saturday evening but with our reservation we were able to get seated quickly. Our server was amazing he was knowledgeable and funny. The food was delicious as always. I got an old fashioned which I enjoyed and my wife got a French 75 that she loved. Get the steak! The filet was cooked perfectly! Will be coming back soon!
Once we were seated, we waited about 15-20 mins with no service. I went back up to the front desk and asked if we could have lunch menus as we were provided dinner menus. Our reservations were at 1:30. I also asked if we were going to have a waiter or waitress attend to us. The waiter that came to our table acted like he did not want to attend to our table, and he was showing signs like we were irritating him. The hostess came back by the table and asked if we had been helped about 5 mins later, and I advised her we had, but I wanted a manager. I asked for a different waitress and had a discussion with the manager about the waiters attitude. In the end, the waiter came back to the table to discuss his attitude and apologized after saying he was busy and he didn't mean to treat us differently. The waitress that tended to us was great and deserved her tip.
In my opinion the price does not match the quality (in regards to their steak). It was not a bad meal! Just that for what I paid I could have gone to Outback Steakhouse and have gotten the same quality food for half the price. If you’re looking in this price range it would be more worth it to go somewhere like Gibsons (my exact order here would have been $5 more there). So 3 stars for quality. The place is very pretty though and has a cozy intimate vibe in the dining areas. Staff was very friendly and super attentive.
Side notes:
-I did ask for medium rare and it came out closer to well done on the outer and medium center
-The chopped salad was great.
My experience was great, but this was with the private catering service.
I celebrated my mother's 70th birthday surprise party. I started the planning in late December. The event planners were great. My party had 23 guests and we used the Savoy room. The event planners answered all of my questions, and I had plenty. As questions came up, I was able to message them and I would receive an answer almost immediately, and on the weekends, I only had to wait 30 mins to an hour tops!
With the event planning service, they had a portal where the documents, contracts, payment deposit, and online discussion were maintained. This helped streamline a lot of the tasks.
The event was on a Sunday in April at 11am - 3pm. I knew how crazy parking can be at Oakbrook Center Mall, so I got there at 10:15, and I informed all my guests to promptly arrive at 11am; plus they needed to get there before my mom. :-)
For all the late arrivals, they had to deal with the parking issues, but that was on them, not me. LOL!
Also a lot of the guests were seniors with previous knee, hip and back surgeries - so I informed them not to park where the restaurants are, but behind the Neiman Marcus. Otherwise, they would have to climb a lot of stairs! That was the best accessible option. I wish there was an elevator available through the Beatrix restaurant; but oh well!
When I arrived early, I was able to add my decorations and wait for my guests and mom to arrive.
The host was fabulous - super duper attentive, and also provided options for those guests who had food allergies.
Since I was in charge of the food planning, everything was delicious. We had Grilled Pepperoni Flatbread, Mediterranean Chicken Skewers, Spit-Roasted Herb Chicken, Barbecued Baby Back Ribs, Cedar-Planked Salmon, Red Skin Mashed Potatoes, and Roasted Market Vegetables. All of that for $36.95 per person (price at the time of my contract) with a minimum of $800 wasn't bad at all!!
Everyone had a great time and experience, and my mom was super surprised. That was the best part about the entire day!
We went to wildfire for my cousins birthday. It was amazing due to the atmosphere and my surroundings. However, the service was not all that, and the food was very well prepared. However, it was tasteless. It didn’t have any flavor the steak that I got was a good cut of meat. It was cooked to perfection however, it didn’t have any taste.
I had reservations for 830 and I did not get seated until 915 . The service was very slow anytime we needed anything we could not find the server. It’s like he took our order and brought us our drinks and then disappeared… it took forever for them to bring the check as well
I was there for dinner tonight and I have to say this is one of the best restaurants on oakbrook the food was delicious and the service top notch from the host to the back of the kitchen amazing people and thank you Kelly for take great care of us we really appreciate it I can wait to go back
