Very stable but basic Hawaiian food. Nothing out of this world but does remind me of time spent in Hawaii. Which makes me very happy. Decent food at a reasonable price. You can't go wrong with ordering some rice and mac salad with a protein. Aloha!!!!
This is one of my go-to places for lunch!! The food is super bomb. Always the same lady behind the counter, she is super nice. I ride my bike here so I don't have to deal with parking. The lot is often pretty busy during lunch time. If you love Hawaiian food, definitely check this place out.
Come here to get their lunch special which changes here and there. love the katsu and teriyaki chicken. a lunch special is enough to fill me up. I've use their meal to help me with my cut and didn't sacrifice any flavor.
This was my first time trying Hawaiian food. Definitely amazing, the katsu sauce was absolutely amazing! The lady working the counter was so nice and patient. The short ribs are beef and it is extremely flavorful. The rice is made perfectly, and the macaroni is not with cheese but with a beautiful sauce. Seriously such a flavorful and amazing store!
First of all let me start off with the service: I asked to change the entree I picked and they didn’t even get mad at me they understood. I also asked to exchange the macaroni salad with kimchi and they said no at first.
At the end they gave me a free drink, surprised me with kimchi and macaroni salad (I think the kimchi was free too) and I still don’t understand why.
They’re niceness had me thinking about them even 24 hours later.
Then the food: I got the Hawaiian bbq chicken and my mom got the teriyaki chicken. We both loved our food I had to even steal food from my mom at some point. I also usually hate potato salad and macaroni salad but theirs had me addicted and wanting more. ❤️❤️
I think I’m going to start making macaroni salad now because of them( Sadly I’m just visiting)
Also the lady at the front desk is the nicest person BY FAR that I have met in LA. She and everything else made me want to write this although I don’t usually. It’s pretty cheap too which prompted me to go here.
This place is small with no tables so it's pretty much take out only.
I wanted to try a couple of different things so I got the chicken combo. Next time I will just go with the chicken katsu as it was really good, but the BBQ chicken was disappointing as was the macaroni salad. I'd go all rice next time and ask for another soy packet.
Best Hawaiian BBQ place in South Bay. Order ahead to avoid the lunchtime crowd.
Ordered 3 family meal specials on Thanksgiving Day and the food was excellent. The Katsu chicken is my favorite
