Best WLM Reviews
The restaurant is on the 3rd floor and has an amazing view of the ocean. If you want to see the ocean while eating, choose a high table over a regular one. Their jalapeno margarita tasted great. For starters, we had bang bang groupers and Wicked shrimp, and both were excellent. My brother really enjoyed the grilled seafood combo. My husband and I tried the tuna tataki, tuna crunch, and California rolls - all delicious except for the California roll, which was just average. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi was in South Carolina.
We had the Seafood Scallops and I think the seafood trio. The scallops and the crab cakes are amazinggggg. Service was also great, and they accommodated my food allergy restrictions by swapping the risotto for another side. We are in town for the week, this was the first place we went to eat once arriving and at the end of the week it is still maintaining the lead as the best place we've eaten here in Myrtle Beach. Definitely worth the price for wonderful food and views.
Lobster tail Trio is a bomb! Very delicious and flavourful! Risotto that comes with Lobster tail Trio had a unique flavour, I think it had Saffron. Wicked Tuna Roll was so fresh and delirious. We really enjoyed our awesome lunch and beautiful view here.
My family and I ate here while on vacation. Ages 3-33. Every single one of us loved it! The dragon egg appetizer was amazing. The calamari was delicious. The sushi was perfect. My personal favorite though was the grilled chicken summer salad. We are currently driving 10 hrs home and I'm worried that I'll never find a summer salad like that where I live. Lol pricey but definitely worth the money!
I decided to bring my family here for our last night at the beach. The commute there on a holiday almost made it not worth going but the area this resturant is in is a busy area anyway. An hour after heavy traffic we arrived at the wicked tuna and was relieved to see how amazing the location was. You end up going to the third floor of the start of a peir which makes scenery as good as it gets when eating an expensive dinner. We were seated at our table and sadly we ran into a few problems. Before I begin I want to say the customer service was fine and did well communicating while we went through our dinner. When we got our dinner, my waiter was notified that they were out of the ribeyes, so I didn't get to eat with my family. They asked if I wanted to have a different cut of meat but It wasn't the cut I wanted so I asked for the filet and lobster tail instead. When they brought that meal out the steak was thirty seconds away from being well done when I asked for it medium. He let me keep the lobster tail and brought me out the dish made correctly with another lobster tail so I was really appreciative of that. The filet and lobster were delicious and It was worth the price. I paid the waiter and gave him a great tip, but when he handed me the receipt I got charged for the ribeye and the surf and turf meal. I got a manager and he quickly addressed the problem, but by then I was over the experience. This was just my experience so I wouldn't say they're always like this, but it kind of felt like the ball got dropped on that one for driving an hour and paying almost 300 for the experience.
The place was decorated for the beach, kind of snazzy but calming. They opened the windows around us, which was super nice. We had the Bang Bang Grouper, and it was beyond exceptional! Served hot and not overcooked, would 1000% have this again. The sushi was highly recommended, and it did NOT disappoint. The stuffed shrimp on the risotto was magnificent. Salted perfectly and creamy risotto was a perfect suggestion.
The food was fantastic! We ordered chicken Marsala, prime seafood scallops, filet Oscar and a California roll. Our server, once attending to us was also great - just took her a bit to finally acknowledge we were seated HOWEVER the check in process and disorganization at the desk was a bit uncomfortable and frustrating. People who didn't have reservations seemed extremely annoyed with those of us who did and were skipping the line. There's plenty of room to flow the crowd a bit differently to avoid such things.
What an awesome happy hour menu from 4 to 7 pm daily. Sushi rolls are almost 50 % off with many drink and appetizers specials. You have to sit at the bar or the tables serviced by the bar. The views are outstanding from any seat. Make sure you ask for Tara at the bar she was wonderful.
