Best WLM Reviews

Wib’s holds a special place in the hearts of our community, and for good reason! The bbq and pimento cheese sandwich is a culinary treasure. The staff are always ready with a smile and eager to make your dining experience exceptional. Highly recommend Wib’s.
Just tried Wib's for the first time the other day. It came highly recommended. The food was really good, and the wait staff was very friendly. The dining room is a bit small, but people seem to move in and out fairly quickly in order to be courteous to others who need a table. I wasn't sure what to order so I tried one sandwich, and it was so good that by the time I finished I decided to order a different one to try. That was excellent as well. The fries were also quite good. I'll definitely be back!
Was told this is a great place to try, but....I was not impressed. The places smelled fabulous when I walked in and the staff was incredibly friendly. My issues are mainly my personal preferences...I prefer a sweeter BBQ sauce and there was no option to choose, I also prefer a sandwich from a BBQ place to be a whole lot fatter...not just a couple of pieces on flat bread.....I'm happy I went, but most likely won't go back.
TL;DR It's a local favorite that's somewhat cheap.
For the price, it's a decent meal, but even one of our party made the comment that in all the years he'd been there, this was the first time he could see the meat on his sandwich. Another commented that they opened in 1947 and just started on their second hog.
Portions are small and the fries taste like fresh fries from a Burger King. Their soda had an odd taste in it. Almost milky. Not bad, but unexpected and probably a result of the water used. The pimento cheese is apparently home made and isn't bad at all, but nothing to rave about.
I had a Spicy combination sandwich (a couple of thin pork slices and a mass of pimento cheese). It was not nearly spicy enough for my tastes. And I couldn't taste the pork past the cheese.
I also split some cheese sticks. They were battered not breaded (I like both, but you may have a preference) and tasted passable (reasonably priced).
Overall service was slightly lacking, but at this price I'm not expecting much more than we got.
Update: came back with family and the service was as good as you could ask for.
Visiting my hometown to experience a little nostalgia. This little “hole in the wall” is always amazing. The sweet tea is truly southern and BBQ is one of a kind. No matter if you’re visiting Jackson or a long standing resident you should stop by and try them out!
Update: The food is ALWAYS good but rarely do they get orders right. Tonight was incorrect sandwiches and missing fries...time before this was missing mozzarella sticks. Time before that was missing sandwiches and other items mixed up. All I see are kids working, where is the authority? I'll update this review once something changes. Service is most certainly apart of any business and Wibs is doing terrible right now unfortunately. This place used to be perfect!
Previous: Wib's is very good! Only complaint is the price on some of their items seems a bit high for the amount of food you get but its well worth it in the end. Over all very good! Friendly employees as well!
BBQ sandwich is the only reason to go here, well for the experience. Sandwiches are small so get two, but they are unique and tasty. Just a bit over-priced is the only negative
a local classic! so glad my staff and I got to try it while we were putting on a week of summer camp. The combo and the mince are the stuff!!!
