Best WLM Reviews
Best medical centre i have been to for awhile, Dr Katie you are a fantastic health professional in dealing with so many of my problems and being able to listen to a patient that talks no stop. You made me feel at ease and were able to have a little joke to help with tension and nerves and i didn't feel embarrassed like with my last GP over personal issues. I was genuinely saddened to hear of the news this was your last week but fully understand your needing a 6 month vacation with the last 3 years being hard for everyone. I really hope the medical centre does everything in it's powers to find another great lady Dr like yourself on a fulltime basis or fingers crossed you return after you have had a good break and feel recharged . Thank you Kindly my dear for your help, also need to include Nic for mental health and nurse Nykita who has a really likeable personality . Paul.
I had a major health scare early 2021 & had the misfortune to choose this place as my health provider. When signing up I was heavily pressured by 2 nurses to tick all the boxes despite my objections, but at same time they neglected to tell me that most of the board & doctors had resigned. I was passed between 5 different doctors in the space of 3 months. Awful.
My toddler son and I have been with Waiwhetu Medical Centre since he was born. In my experience, the level of care provided is excellent. Helpful and friendly reception staff who'll do their best to squeeze you in if it's urgent (especially with young children), text reminders, nurses with a lovely manner for immunisations, etc. The doctor I see is the best I've ever had: super thorough and attentive. Yes, the waiting room and facilities are basic, but it's a great practice.
My doctor here is really great, dont know about the others. Nurses are helpful and call you promptly with your test results. The reception staff are helpful with allowing you to pay off your bills or pre pay your account. Staff often share jokes and have a quick laugh which is great to see - keeps morale up and makes the whole atmosphere different.
Avoid at all cost.
I would not recommend this GP practice, staff are very rude.
Least helpful.
staff are so frastrated all the time.
Don't even bother speaking to the nurse, you would end up changing your Gp.
No professionalism.
GP is not interested in listening to you or even treating you.
There's no respect for individuals.
I guess you get treated according to your ethnicity.
Receptionist is kind, spoken gentle tone with heaps of help about enquiring for my little pēpi.
Tamariki Ora nurse checked in on us when pēpi was born for its check ups. Doctor for another reason also kind and gave us positive feedback. I recommend whānau to enroll here.
I meet one doctor after the one I had at kopata center, and my doctor had moved out of the country. I'm still gutted about that. But I found a new one and she is the best, and now she's moved up north. I'm going to try and get her.I'll be gutted if I don't get her as she's the best doctor around.
Sadly, Nothing works!

I know these are difficult times, but zero communications/updates means patients are left in the dark. This is ongoing, not just the last few months/year.
