Awesome place lots of fun to be had while getting your haircut! Ask for Tukela, she has always been down for my crazy hair ideas and has also turned me away from really, really crazy ones ????! She designed and free hand cut this sweet line into my shaved area after I randomly asked. Quick service too.
I love this joint. Alex and the rest of the barbers are incredible barbers, and really kind people. This place is kind of a hole in the wall, but it is absolutely worth checking out. The interior is nice, the chairs are comfortable, and there are plenty of free-flowing conversations going on while you get your cut. The overall vibe of the barber shop is great. I don't get my hair cut anywhere else anymore after finding these guys.
Josh always does a perfect job. Has apparently mastered the rare art of actually cutting someone's hair the way they want it. Shocking....

This review is about the barber and not necessarily Vista Barber Shop. I've came here twice before for a haircut with Hai. He's extremely professional and friendly. Today, I decided to book a haircut with a barber named Tukela. I arrived on time at 4:30pm and waited for her to finish with another client. After 20 minutes of waiting, she finally finishes her client's haircut and checks him out. When I approached Tukela at the counter about my haircut, her immediate response was: "You don't have an appointment with me." She didn't even greet me. Then, she checks her calendar and realizes that I DID book an appointment with her. Finally, she points me to her chair in the back of the shop. She did not apologize or acknowledge the fact that I waited 20 minutes even though I booked ahead of time. When I approached her chair, she rudely tells me to step back because she had to sweep. When I finally did sit down, I felt an air of passive aggressiveness around her. I tried to start some small talk to break up the awkwardness, but she only responded with one or two words. I looked around the shop and saw the three other barbers having friendly chats with their clients. Meanwhile, it was dead silent in the back where I was sitting. The worst part was that Tukela seemed to be having a great time with the previous client that was there. I felt like I annoyed her because she "forgot" that I booked ahead of time AND waited 20 minutes. The haircut was fine, but the overall experience was uncomfortable. If you come here, try booking with the other barbers. They all seemed friendly and personable, except for the one that I had.
Do not get the lady in the last chair. Worst ever. This is what her skin fades look like: overall worst haircut ever. Cannot trust that lady at all. She should not be cutting hair whatsoever. Also her tools must be dirty as my head won’t stop itching :\
